Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

So glad you changed the coop 🙂 Just an additional suggestion, chickens like having vertical space, with branches up high to roost on. I would take out the woven bamboo mid-ceiling and use it to extend the front wall all the way up to the board ceiling, as well as close off the side walls all the way up. And then stick a long branch or two through the bamboo walls as roosting space. And what a considerate hen, laying eggs right in your kitchen! 😄

I can't believe it's been 5 years. I remember watching the early videos and I honestly wouldn't believe what you've been able to accomplish in these 5 short years. You've done an amazing job and I think your career with RU-vid is just getting started. I will continue to watch for years to come and I truly appreciate the content and the window into your daily life. Any parent should be proud of what you've accomplished. It's amazing. Here's to another 5 more years! Cheers and Thank you!

I remember watching from the start. I discovered this channel when there was only 2 videos here. In those days, primitive technology was king and everyone had the primitive fever. There were 4 good Asian channels from the bunch that you watch at learn from and also enjoy yourself. It was him, primitive life, survival primitive skills, and another one called evolution of primitive technology, now changed to evolution technology. Evolution technology did not take on like the other 3 and eventually fall back. Survival primitive skills took the lead and was making strides when they made brick and mortar and and made a concrete house. They started to fall back when a series of their videos were found to be fake and a lot of people stop supporting them. Primitive life was my favorite, also there was another primitive with a female who came after, and she was great. l think that channel is now called survival skills. However, primitive life, my favorite, he stopped posting for a long time and there were rumors that he was in jail. He came back for a short time to start over, but then disappeared again. I don't know what has happened to him, which is a pity, because himself and this guy would make the PT genre very excited. The original TP (John) had also left the seen for a while to pursue other venues but came back lately. I must say, though PT is the original, it still follows the same or similar path like before, very informative and educating, but this channel had surpassed John Plant's to evolve into something else. I really like what this guy is doing and I love to see the evolution taking step by step and making reality, something everybody can relate to and understand. He is the last man standing who has followed the path from the beginning and is still here, one continueous book.

@@blackbway It's hard to compare the primitive RU-vidrs with each other since each has their own personality. I loved watching primitive life, but I was equally excited to watch primitive skills and PT whenever they posted a new video. love your comment and how it reminded me of the hype back then. You're one of the true OG followers of the genre!

The only thing missing in your coop is a roost bar. Any 2-3 inch relatively straight tree branch will do that's long enough to go through the walls to hold it in place. Once you find the branch scorch it lightly with a flame on all sides and length to harden it and make it bug proof. Chickens like to roost up high in the coop for protection but give them headroom. Lastly, I'd make two nesting boxes for the coop, your chicks will start laying around 7-9 months. They'll want to go where it's quiet to do so. 🐔🐔🐔🐔
@szeddezs
@szeddezs Год назад
He really should extend the coop walls all the way up to the board ceiling as well, and take out the bamboo middle ceiling. Right now it seems a little vertically cramped.
@kajala11
@kajala11 Год назад
@@szeddezs That would be idea, easier to put the roost branch in this area and it would be the highest point in the coop. It's a great area for the nesting boxes too. 🐣

Your parents must be proud, I would be very proud of you if you were my son. I really like the extra information you've been providing lately. I'm curious if your elders taught you anything about the nature of our realm and/or any of the luminaries above. Love the new location for the coop! Now the chicken poop won't contaminate your fish pond. And if too much poop builds up under the coop, you can shovel it out and use it as fertilizer in your garden. And the coop is still raised off the ground for protection from predators. And I like that you can let the chickens run loose now, so they can get water when they need it, and also forage for seeds and bugs, so they aren't totally dependent on what you feed them. Some ideas for your coop: Add a water dish so your chickens can get water at night. Of course, a nest box as other people have suggested. And looking at the setup, as you have more chickens you could add a second story onto the coop to increase the space. Just finish walling in the top, cut a hole in the floor and give them a ramp to get upstairs! Eventually you are going to need an unrelated rooster to breed with your new hens. Not sure how to manage that.
@susank4878

Sometimes in the background I hear a rooster crowing, so maybe it could come and visit.
@jimbayler4277
@jimbayler4277 Год назад
@@susank4878 : The crowing you hear are wild jungle fowl (chickens). They are native to Southeast Asia. The Rooster doesn't even have to "visit". His crowing will trigger the egg laying. The eggs will be infertile until he does visit, but that is a good thing for eating eggs. Roosters being Roosters, there is a good chance he will try to kidnap any hens and make them part of his harem.

She obviously loves corn husks for nesting material...so since you let her have some, hopefully she'll decide to lay in her own coop instead of your kitchen. Trứng! Yay! Sugar... haha. Thật hoàn hảo! Tôi thích căn hộ chuồng gà mới! Những con gà mái sẽ thích nó. Rõ ràng là cô ấy thích vỏ ngô để làm vật liệu làm tổ ... vì vậy, vì bạn để cô ấy ăn một ít, hy vọng cô ấy sẽ quyết định nằm trong chuồng của riêng mình thay vì nhà bếp của bạn.

I think people like watching and getting a sense of peace from the environment you are in. You do great work and your parents should be proud of what you have done. I know several people who would like to live like you do, but their technology addiction keeps them fom it. My people have made chicken coops with shelves where each hen has a compartment to build her own nest in and we put roost bars in corners opposite the nest shelves. We have also found when a hen lays an egg elsewhere and won't keep it warm means the egg was never fertilized so the egg won't hatch. Mind you, that is here in America. I suppose it could be different there. Keep up the good work. God bless.

Ok Sugar now take those eggs and put them in a bowl and put them in your house. If there are to many eggs in the nest the hen could accidentally crack one or more by stepping on them. She seems in a big hurry to get to the nest. Don't wash the eggs till your ready to use them. They will stay fresh if you don't wash them. I love the hen house. It's beautiful. Knit some more nests and put them on that top above the henhouse. They will learn quickly where to go to lay. You are doing great. In the spring you will need a rooster for chicks. Can you trade for one? I'm very proud of you. I've watched you grow in knowledge. Any questions you have about anything just ask. We will help you. Your parents raised a good man. Stay well.

They don't like to sleep on the floor. Wild chickens go into the trees and sleep on branches. So, to mimic their wild behavior, a nice stick inside the coop going from side to side would make them happy! Take care!🤗

Looking at all the things you do, climbing up high to build things, cutting down huge trees, and being out in the forest with wild boars, yes, it can seem dangerous. Sugar .. you are an amazing person. I and my family have watched your videos from the very beginning.. we live in USA Florida. I have raised chickens all my life... The eggs you get may not make chicks.. no rooster... The hen doesn't look like she wants to set on the nest all the time... Hens will make eggs without a rooster.. they are for eating. May want to make a roost for them to go up on at night. And put nesting box in part of the coop.. Good luck

I agree with the others..a roosting limb would make them very happy.. ya might also want to think about putting a couple nests with bedding inside the coop to encourage them to stay on the eggs if your wanting to raise up enough for trading.. I'm very happy your still there after 5 years and the farm looks great.. I've watched you for the last 3 years and have really enjoyed all the improvements.. the raising of fish fry to stock your pond is still one of my favorites.. keep up the good work

I think your work is amazing... and the county is beautiful. Sometimes I wish living someplace so green and innocent would be far better than living with the crowds and filth where I do live... with all the corruption and drama no one really asked for. I do think its amazing you don't have a little family of your own to carry on with... making this grand experiment even grander. Its worse finding someone of value in a much more "civilized" place. hehe. Carry on friend! 😁

Yes, very hard work. I watched you clear the field you planted with corn. I thought it takes a lot of tenacity to do that. Hot, back breaking work but you accomplished it and was able to reap the reward. Encourages me to be tenacious 😊
