Imogen darling what you should do is create a mood board for each room. Think of a room decor theme and the colour palette you want to use. I would start of by taking a picture of each room and then look online for the furniture and paint colours ( maybe try Farrow and Ball) because it is quite pricey you can get the exact shade if you go to B& Q valspar and they can create the exact paint colour at a cheaper price . Prints and texture add alot of depth to each room. Dont just look at pinterest order some brochures from interior designers and think of other shops other than IKEA and the range. I wish I could help you because I have designed alot in my parents rooms. Interior and home decor take time and you tend to learn through your mistakes. I remember when I started off I would end up buying so much decor it would end up cluttered, so dont worry we have all been there. Sending you love me. to start, literally just paint the walls and Maybe the doors white, just so everything has a plain background, its Clean and liveable and then after that, you can decide what you really want! :)

Imogen, I cry all the time too. I have actually got so much more emotional as I have got older too. I suffer with severe anxiety and depression and I am sure that contributes to it but I also think it shows how soft hearted and kind we are too. I cry when good things happen to people because I am happy for them, I cry when bad things happen because that makes me sad but in the end it's all because we care. It shows empathy towards others. I actually get so annoyed at myself at times but we can't all control our emotions......I certainly cant!!!! You are a lovely person inside and out and as long as we always treat others kindly that's all that matters xxx

Its really sad to hear people still judge others situations, there's nothing wrong with the flat! There are so many homeless people out there that the flat would look like a 5 star hotel. Anyway so happy for you both, it's such a huge achievement!!! 💕💕💕

You could get some hanging rails just for now untill you get your chest of draws put it in spare room Xx

Your Dad was right. Give the walls a coat of white paint and then sit back and don't do much else until you work out what you want. Take your time- live in the space for a few months and see what works and what does not especially in the Kitchen and Bathroom as they are expensive to renovate. It will take a while but you will get there. Your excitement is infectious.

From argos you can buy hanging wardrobe boxes/shelves and you hang them up in a hanging wardrobe space and it creates spaces for you to fold your clothes!! (Also only around £10!) Was a lifesaver for me in my flat, saves you buying drawers now until you know the layout xx

Just want to say thank you so much! I have currently just moved into my own little flat with my boyfriend and we are renting. All my friends have bought big houses 3/4 bedrooms and I was feeling down that we are renting and only have 1 bedroom but you have honestly gave me a whole new look on it. Ahhh I love interior which I could help you so much! I think just start by thinking of what you want your colour scheme to be, paint your walls white or whatever you want colour scheme to be, paint woodwork white and then decide what you’re doing with the flooring. Once you have the basics right you’ll maybe find it easier to see your vision ❤️

Imogen I’ve moved house like 7 times in my life (divorced parents we love them) and I found the best way was to shove it all in like you have, then get loads of cardboard boxes, label the boxes, and put all the stuff into rooms / categories like “beauty” etc. Also vacuum pack bags for clothes and stuff you don’t need rn like summer clothes! I think organisation takes so long but it’s so worth it. Xxx

My boyfriend and I bought a house last year and when I was deciding what furniture to buy I started with the kitchen/dining room because its the main room in the house. I knew I wanted a white high gloss handleless kitchen with a grey worktop so I carried that throughout the whole house then.. My dining table and chairs are grey, wardrobes are white high gloss, my bed is grey, couch is grey, hall table is white high gloss.. I think once you get the main colours and materials it all just flows then ❤️❤️ Good Luck, it's such an exciting time (and stressful 😂) ❤️

Hi Imogen, love your videos, for your drawer space problem I know you can get ‘hanging drawers’ from places like IKEA which hang from a rail and has different compartments!

You could have a nice display cabinet and and a sideboard , a hallway console table , and a bookcase ..

The house looks amazing, 😍 maybe diy dad 😉 can put some shelves into the wardrobes in the house to give you some storage for now . Also I'd make the smallest bedroom or whatever room you plan to do last a wardrobe/storage room and use it to store all your clothes, shoes and bits so you can do the renovations around the house , without having to move any of it and still be able to find everything you need whilst it's being done . It'll be really hard to do renovations if everything you both own is scattered throughout the house. Can't wait to follow the journey of your house being made into your home! You could also get some of the hanging wardrobe shelf storage things to fold clothes in to! Oh and not being able to style/choose/put together stuff isn't silly I'm the same I look at a photo and think I love that room but I can never visualise a room on my own I always need to see other peoples and then just copy them and buy what they have 😅. I'm terrible at actually being able to put anything together and choose bits that would complement each other or look good on my own!! I need my own interior designer 😅 X ❤

Sweetheart, I have just watched your video on your wisdom tooth but I couldn't leave a comment but I just wanted to say you are so brave. I've never had a wisdom tooth removed but have known a couple of people who have and the pain they were in was crazy. One was a Male friend and I stayed at his house and took care of him and he was crying for 2 nights and I really felt for him. The other friend was a bit better but was drugged up on painkillers so wasn't too bad. I took care of her too! But I'm glad your on the road to recovery. Right before I finish watching the video You need to set your self tasks so first task would be get rid of all the stuff you don’t need I.e clothes shoes home bits because least then you’ve not got that to worry about but you also need to be brutal because if your not you will not get rid of much 🙈 . Then what I did was set a price for each room and design each room through photo ideas then put each room together sort of thing , also with the flooring if you want to keep it wood you could always stain it or paint it as it would be cheeper then replace all the down stairs flooring ☺️

I found that it can be so overwhelming trying to plan how you want the house to look. I focused on one room at a time and it helped so much. Wish lists are a life saver! Favourite everything you love and take it slow! I found that I like so many different styles so I’ve given each room a slightly different style so I can try a bit of everything! 😂

Get some big pieces of card and make a mood board for each room, use samples of paint, wall paper, snap pics of furniture you see in store and print to stick on the board, then you can see the bigger picture before you buy it all, easier to swap and change things gives u a clear picture x

a really good start for designing your rooms is to just make a colour pallet for each room, each one should have at between 3-5 colours and then just make sure to stick to that pallet and it should all go together xxx cant wait to see what you do to the house! xx

Awwww Don't worry about the decorating at the moment, lovely. Focus on what you have moved from the flat & deciding which room will be what. Don't stress - All good things take time. The "Instagram Interior Decor" worry - do it like how you do with your outfits that you shoot/film in, angel: Pick the main piece (ie. Bed, Sofa, Dining, etc.) & build everything around it. You & Pups got this - Enjoy your wonderful new home! :)

Hey girl, go on the Brighton selling pages on Facebook and you'll find either free or cheap storage and that for all your clothes but also in Portslade there is a big charity shop warehouse called emmus, they have like draws for like 10 pounds and that, thought that might help tie you over until everything is done and you can get the furniture you want? Xxxxxx

I find if you go with neutral colours everything will go together perfectly. Always keep things simple and add greenery to add that pop of colour.
