sis i feel you. when i realized the visa was increased specifically at the time of the cry for us to return... i was like.....huh? seriously... there are other things i saw as well like lines of africans standing in the cold in dc ghana embassy waiting to pick up there visa when the place was empty inside where it was warm. i was surprized as this cold treatment and it spoke volumes to the "welcome" atmostphere. a deligations of kings came to dc. One of them said he sat in the audience because he wanted to ask question, "what are we returning to?, our home, a peace of land , what are we returning to. what do we have for you to return to?" he was very upset at the false gesture. Anyway... it is all good that we are finally returning home but we all need to get our act together and stop pimping, using one another as a temporaty come up.

Even when the Emancipation Proclamation freed the enslaved, some enslavers simply moved to Texas, where they knew they could get away with it. In a similar way that it took two full years, for “freedom” to come to Texas, I’m alleging that most didn’t know about returning to Africa, and even amongst those who may have, centuries of disconnection, wouldn’t make that remotely appealing.
