There's so much more going on here than I even realized after years of listening to this song on loop for hours at a time... all goes to show how amazing Spencer's drumming really is
Spencer! This song changed my life 3 years ago when I was a little 15 year old shit. Made me step up my drumming game as well. Thanks for being a sicko behind the kit. Much love! 🖤
Way too difficult for me to play as a grade 1 - 2 drummer, but thanks so much for sharing this. It is great that a drummer of a top band can take the time to do this for their fans!
Yesssss, there’s already a drum can of this with great angle and sound but love to see a personal one. I cannot tell you how much I love your playing, you’re my fav Spencer. Keep em coming!
Frick you’re so good man. Your drumming is inspiring me so much lately and I really need to see you dudes live someday. Love the new album and hope to see some playthroughs from that record as well! Keep doing what you’re doing 🤘🏼
@Kami_music26 it's not too bad if you've got some basic limb independence down. The only hard part imo is the intro and all the little ghost notes in the song. Just slow down the intro and learn it by bar. Ignore the ghost notes and your left foot for now until you're comfortable with the rest. That's how I learnt it. I still don't have it down 100% but I can play along with it now. You can do it! Cheers
@@Kami_music26 to play along a little its doable. To play it accurately will be harder but not impossible. There's a video somewhere with drum score you can look up. That's where I learned it from.
Yo! This was recorded with just a pile of mics I happened to have on hand. The rack tom and kick drum mics were from a digital reference 4 pack that cost 100 bucks lol. On the floor tom, Pat's backup Shure beta 58 vocal mic. On the snare, also borrowed Pat's Sennheiser vocal mic from the e 900 series, though I'm not sure which model. And then two sterling st31's for overheads. Certainly not the cleanest setup, but a little work in the DAW can bring out some decent tones.
Mr York, Ive noticed from the Daylily video and the Third Degree you used a different Cymbal set up so my question is, what Cymbal set up do you tour with? looking for an upgrade! Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
