Jean Kent was a fine actress - as time went on often cast as a woman of ill repute or someone not very nice and she never disappointed - i think she was willing and capable of tackling rolls that a lot of actresses may have turned their nose up at - i wise move on her part. R.I.P. Ms Kent and thanks for all the pleasure you gave us - and are still giving
I may be way out but she looks a little bit like my fav actress of the present Era..Kate Beckinsale..beautiful woman..Thnx 4 posting these pics my friend..love them all..I love pics of film stars from this period..The pics look so classy back then unlike todays film stars who sell the body more than the acting talent..Wish we had more tasteful stuff like this today..

Thank you. You have very interesting videos. In Russia, very little is known about the western film 40, 50 and 60 years. Public television is almost nothing about it says. Known only to Chaplin, Keaton and others. Little information in libraries and the Internet in the area of the Russian language. It is assumed that it was "not ours, and it was a long time, and if necessary, you will find. "
BAZ, I do not know Jean Kent Do not think I have ever heard her name, but from the video, appears all its elegance and beauty. An extraordinary sequence of images and music!
I haven't seen all her movies, only a few. Of the ones I've seen, however, her two best performances are in THE WOMAN IN QUESTION and THE BROWNING VERSION.
Jean will be appearing at the BFI Southbank in London on June 29th for a screening of her film Caravan, on her 90th birthday! Check their website for tickets.
I think Jean Kent would have been a better choice to play the older Estella in the 1946 classic Great Expectations. I just think she would have been better for that role than Valerie Hobson.
