+heather willis I see where it says that in the FAQs. I am going to reach out to them. I imagine they used another box as a template for their faqs and didn't update.
+Mary Ellen Yes I heard back from the company and they are changing it to a rental service. I like the concept of keeping the movies. They lowered the price point, and changed it to a rental....Boo!
+Subscriptionboxmom12 I appreciate the idea of this box it just seems like it's a let down considering now it's a rental service instead of getting to keep the movies you are sent. If I had paid $10 for the first box and gotten two movies I already own, it just seems like a waste of money. The idea of the bigger boxes with treats in it is nice, but for the money, especially now that it's a rental service, they could spring for blu-rays instead of DVDs. Especially considering you don't get to pick the movies they send and it's $10 per month to get two movies to rent. Netflix is a much better option in that case. And now you can only keep the movies for 10 days, this just seems like a rip off to me.
You can get these 2 movies for about $10 on amazon for both...that's brand new with prime shipping. Not sure I'd want to spend $30 for the candy included. $30 can buy a TON of snacks at the local grocery store. Just my thoughts.
+twitchster77 The snacks and soap had a retail value of $27.00 not including the movies. You can get cheaper snacks at the grocery store, but that Cookies and Cream Toffee was on another level of awesome. Cheap movies, but the snacks were all fantastic. Again though, its where you want to spend your money.
+twitchster77 Movie Night box Subscription Plan is Just Movies: Receive two DVD rentals and movie/theme cards for : $10.00Movies+ Sweet and Salty : Receive two DVD rentals and theme cards and two full sized artisan treats(one sweet and one salty) for: $25.00Movies + Three Snacks: deluxe plan Receive two DVD Rentals and theme cards and three full sized artisan treats(one salty, one sweet, and one surprise) and from time to time they might throw in a movie themed bonus item for : $30.00 all is free shipping But like Subscriptionboxmom12 said you can cheap movies, but the snacks were all fantastic. Again though, it’s where you want to spend your money. But me if I was to get this box for the first time I would just get the $10.00 plan that is just me then if I like want they send me then I would get the $25.00 plan but I would never get the $30.00 plan that is just too much for not the price for the movies.

Very disappointed in this subscription box. You can get artisan snacks on Amazon or other specialty shops and the movies are cheap. For a rental, so not worth it. Even Netflix doesn't give you a time limit to return your movies and with streaming, it's a better deal. I get two movies at a time, blue ray or DVDs, and can have 2 or 3 devices streaming different shows on Netflix at the same time for $25.00 a month. Much better deal!
awesome idea. I would totally subscribe if it was bu-ray! This would make such an amazing gift for my husband that we can enjoy together as a date night at home! With two year old twin boys and a 5 year old son we rarely get out of the house. This seems like the perfect solution.
Seems like an interesting idea unfortunately I own both movies already so would seem like a waste of money to me. If they offered blu-rays instead of just DVDs that would be a better deal.
+Mary Ellen I just added up the price of everything in the box and it seems to be around $30 before adding in the price of the soap (I'm guessing around $20 because that's what I found online) and the ice pack. The prices of those movies on blu-ray isn't much more than the DVDs so it would be nice if that was an option instead of DVDs. As someone who has over 450 DVDs, I like the concept of this box but there's always the fear of paying that price and getting movies I already own on DVD. I own around 50 blu-rays.
