This is honestly turning out to be the best sonic game of all time. And that doesn’t even include the fact that the original sonic gens is also in the game and is reworked and upscaled for modern consoles. Like Keanu voicing shadow in a GAME along with the MOVIE? What timeline are we living in?

Seeing this I think I want the next iteration of the sonic models to take cues from the movie designs at least if not outright use them. The jumpball in particular looks absolutely phenomenal and I dig the fur detail. Maybe don't make it that detailed for the next game, but some inbetween like how dk has realistic fur in tropical freeze but keeps his cartoonier proportions. Maybe I'm also biased because I've been craving a new sonic model for a decade at this point and we're finally getting a glimpse of what that could be like

No I feel the exact same way, this is scary to think that Sega took the risk and let us see how possible it was to modernize his design and make it look real but keeping the game feel, doing this tho makes it feel like it’s not sonic team anymore and that’s where I get scared it’s almost as if insomniac was the make a sonic game it would look like this and that’s cool but i don’t know the sonic charm shouldn’t just be removed and replaced

Well I’d say using the movie jump ball animation is decent, and frankly it’s even better than that crappy Forces animation. JUST CHANGE THEM BACK, WILL YOU?!
