Denzel Washington is without a doubt one of the most respected actors in modern Hollywood; but how did this son of a minister & beautician go from wanting to work as a journalist, to become a double Oscar winner..?
One of the best actors with the BEST filmography.Crimson Tide,Taking of Pelham 1..2...3,,Inside Man, Deja Vu,Training Day,Man on Fire....oh man, I love all of his movies. R.I.P Tony Scott who loved and choose him almost for his every movies. He was the best director of all time!
Seems like any speech or interview Denzel is doin it feels like he's in a movie. If I saw him in personal it feel like I'm in a movie with him. Guy's a legend.
I'VE SEEN ALMOST ALL HIS MOVIES,EVEN HIS OLD ONES,,,HE'S A GREAT ACTOR...I LOVE TO SEE HIM IN THE MOVIES FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS...A GOOD FAMILY MAN....A GREAT ACTOR,AND AN IDEAL FATHER...
He was the best in Malcolm X. That was top 10 all-time performance-wise. Right there with De Niro in Raging Bull, Brando in Godfather, Pacino in Godfather, Nicholson in One Flew, etc. ROBBED OF THAT OSCAR!! That's why he was given one for Training Day, which wasn't anything close to an Oscar winning performance lol
If you knew anything about the gangster culture and the popularity and corruption there was during that time, then you would know he deserved the Oscar. It may not be all tuxedo black tie pretty but he did deserve it and more
Thanks for making this. It was very insightful. And to add, he is one of the MAIN reasons I have become an actor. I plan on being in a movie with him no matter what.
greatest actor of all time he will never get his just do because he is a black actor how the hell he only got 2 Oscars. didn't get one for Malcolm X because America hated Malcolm x and what he stood for, being a strong black man. Remember the titans, john Q, hurricane, and so many more
Of course there are super-talented guys who make it with pure skill, but i could bet a whole ton of money there are WAY WAY WAY more skillfull actors who are unheard of than there are known. But if YOU want to be an actor dont be discouraged, determination and skill and ofcourse anything is possible, just be prepared for set-backs and dont be dis-heartened.
One of the best actors of all time. One of my favorite actors. I remember watching a movie where Denzel played a teenage son looking for his white father. Were going way way back and now my old fart is coming out! Denzel Washintgon kicks ass!
shair00 I saw that! I loved the part where the father blew 5 bucks because he thought that because his son was black, that he could play basketball. Lol! "Just don't dunk on them. It'll scare them". I cracked up at that part 😂
He wasn't claiming anything. He only is saying that he could relate to it better than whites can.And like it or not he does have a point there.Whites can't relate to what these people have been through since they never experienced that. Most African American people who have their roots in America know someone in their family who must have shared their experiences.Maybe not directly but you can bet that those experiences have left their mark.
How do I say it. hmm.. His movies are so full of symbology. Even new movie flight the is the church cross that gets disintegrated, plus few more symbols, It's like every movie he is in, it's full of symbology. Now is it satanic or NWO or illuminati or whatever, I dont know but I am trying to figure out, is the director or screen writers, someone keeps putting him in such movies.
My point is that Denzel is playing the lazy actor's card, which is the card actors play when they fall back upon something they were born into. For him, it is being black. We honestly think he gave the director insights into the way the American Civil war was taken under Black volunteerism? Maybe he knows this, I don't know. But Denzel certainly doesn't do anything about spreading the accessibility of this knowledge, if it's so easy to possess -- because lots of people should know it. Lazy..
