May I suggest WheezyWaiter for relatively consistent content? Besides a while where he did vlogs, he does pretty much the same thing for years, and it works. Hell, I think he did the same video, with the same script and everything, 3 times already. It was a video about being original.

everyone keeps talking about youtube drama, but i don't see it. can someone explain to me in a brief summary what's going on exactly?

trust me, it's best you don't know, because its just the lowest tier of RU-vid, leafyishere, pyrocynical, KEEMSTAR, idubbbz, though i really love filthy Frank, idubbbz is just, anyway, it's better you don't go down that road on RU-vid

Jupiter I had a hard time finding it, but currently the only RU-vidr I'm subscribed to I see talking about it is GradeAUnderA. Basically, RU-vid and Twitch have this cross-section with people who stream and upload to RU-vid, and that's where the scum appears to bloom. Then you got "news" channels on RU-vid, whose only content is pointing out other RU-vidrs and Twitch streamers' faults and/or misdoing. Since these people aren't real journalists, and they don't need to follow any ethics guidelines, they just produce one video after the other accusing others without much fact checking or moderation. Then you got the accused people pointing fingers back at the accusers, and accuse them for being hypocritical and wrong, and it just goes back and forth, creating some sort of gravity that forces other RU-vidrs to respond to this argument. I think an example of that would be Keemstar and Leafy (I still don't know nor do I care what Leafy does). Following this, we have the RU-vidrs who misunderstand RU-vid as a platform, and start making inappropriate videos. An example for this would be rape accusations, completely contaminating an other RU-vidr's name, such as Toby Turner's, whose gaming channel went from a daily upload schedule to 3 videos in the past 5 months. It's a whole clusterfuck of a trend that goes in very specific circles of RU-vidrs. If you are not seeing it, it means you're not in any of these circles, and that's a good thing. Don't go looking for them, really.

I've already said this in anothet comment but... Ryan did change. He used to be a savage and his content was full of randomness. But he grew up. If he stayed the same as he was he'd probably be involved with these dramas (remember when he roasted his haters years ago? xD ), he is mature enough not to. And his content is now far from random. Theyre all cleverly written (*cough* the illuminati video *cough* ). So yeah, he did change. But unlike other youtubers, his changes just make him and his content better than ever! But one thing that hasn't changed about him is that the fact that he is not a money-hungry person and he still genuinely makes videos to make people, and also himself happy♡ (If any of you wonder if he is faking these out, watch his Hacked video. He talked about his 30 minute skitzo video in it and that convinced me on what kind of person he is IRL :) )
