What makes it even more satisfying is that a couple of Sega Genesis Instruments were heard which shocks me that no one even noticed that. It would've been funnier if Sonic was in it for half a minute just for the sake of those Genesis Instruments alone
I could see how the first two were just using the song because it's popular. Ralph Breaks the Internet absolutely used it as a rickroll on purpose with no remorse and I love them for it.
Also, the Bumblebee movie. Ingenious use of the plot. Since he can't speak, he used his radio to try and communicate. The main girl in the movie was doing something with the radio, I can't remember if she was fixing it or what. Of course, I've been rickrolled.
One fact: in Russia there is an add that literally recreated the Rickroll dance,no joke. It was a radio show add or something, I honestly don't remember 😅
I have not seen Ralph Breaks the Internet, and I probably never will, it looks really bad. But dang is that rickroll not brilliant. It's like they understood the internet for just one second.
The movie did two trolling scenes in the credits. One of the trailers had Ralph overfeeding cute Internet creatures to the point of exploding, causing a little girl to scream. The scene was never actually in the movie. But then in the mid-credits, that same little girl is talking about how there was a scene in the trailers that wasn't in the movie, gets onto a game on her device, and then the scene is recreated in its entirety. The Rickroll was the second credits scene.
I think that the whole reason it was in the Lego Batman movie & Angry Birds was that it’s popular. While Ralph Breaks The Internet & Diary Of A Wimpy Kid actually understand what a rickroll is.
🎶Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie, and hurt you.🎶😎🎉❤
Rick rolling someone is probably the oldest meme in the entire world Rick roll was one of the first and best memes in history and ironically it’s the meme that’s been around the longest and is still used in pop culture to this day
I remember watching angry birds and hearing Rick roll and think nothing of it but now I would get really mad if I heard the Rick roll in angry birds now.
Fun fact I was scrolling through facebook then I Found a post where frozen 3 movie trailer has been released then when I clicked on it IT GAVE ME A FRICKING RICKROLL I RAGED SO HARD I YEETED MYSELF ONTO A WALL 💀💀💀
I'd argue the only real rickroll is the Ralph one the others are just the song (purposely though) and the last one is a reference to the music video's admittedly funny dance.
