My first marine tank was in the late 70’s. I’m now in my mid 50’s and still in the hobby. Guess i’m in the old school reefers club. Tank looks much better and look forward to more from this set-up

I thought I was the only one that did that lol expect I use cardboard. I folded the cardboard all around the tank after getting it underneath and it’s like it’s on skates. I’ve had to do this numerous times. Moving a 135 gallon long from one side of the living room to the other side few years later and then again to different side. Then moving one tank from the kitchen to the bedroom that one was a 150 gallon. Guess I’m a old timer lol. Cheers from California!

Ive been keeping marines for over 40 years, and ive always done rocks like your Bill. trouble is with people now is they want a tank to be a fantastic centre piece in there house instead of a small peice of the qcean like it should be. and the ocean is not perfect

Reef Flux (Fluconazole) will get rid of any hair algae you have easy! I’ve tried it all & it was the only thing that worked and didn’t harm my coral. Oh and I’ve been in the hobby since 87 so I guess I’m part of the “Old timer” reef club too!😂

Got to do this soon for my 30g reef. Going to drain into buckets and use the sliders on each corner to move the stand with the tank on. Any tips ? Did you take the sump out during the move ?

I would like for you to know that I had the same issues that you was having on the DP-4 doser.. The pump head are assembled backwards so all you have to do is assemble them the Rotherham way. You can look at a video from Wel Don Tanks the name of the videos is WATER CHANGES WITH A DOSING PUMP HOPE THIS WAS DOME HELP TO YOU PLZ LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKED FOR YOU BECAUSE IT DID FOR ME

Hey how are you? Just a quick question how many mollies would you use for a 350 liter tank cycle? I was going to use two clown fish but i trust you with the mollie options and i want the best start for my tank its my first time working with salt tanks. Thanks
@TattooedDancer91
@TattooedDancer91 4 года назад
Don't cycle it with live fish, it's barbaric and outdated. Use a regular bacteria starter and ghost feed the tank.
@tecsco
@tecsco 4 года назад
Onur A Get a bottle of Dr. Tim’s ammonia and a bottle of Fritzyme9. You run the chance of killing those fish for nothing. There’s no reason to kill those fish with all of the bottled bacteria, live sand, liferock and Dr. Tim’s ammonia. I have a 3 min video on my channel showing these steps.
@username-kn3oh

@@TattooedDancer91 ghost feeding is outdated. Use ammonia in a bottle
@TattooedDancer91
@TattooedDancer91 4 года назад
@@username-kn3oh that's exactly the same... direct or indirect feeding for the nitrifying bacteria. It's ghost feeding because you can't see what you are feeding to. But bacteria need more than just ammonia to proliferate, they need sources of phosphates as well for proteinsynthesis and rapid growth

I am so surprised to see almost at same stage where it was 3months back and i saw that old video too. When he has cleaned the rock in tank what did you do to that water ? How much new water being used in process ?

@charsiedward6443
@charsiedward6443 4 года назад
You should do a video of doing this 100% water change, As there are so many things that can screw up live stock. Hoping to see it soon 🙏

It's not the point on how you removed the hair algae. More important, would be how not to get to that point in the first place.
