Wow, that hitch was something I never seen before, thanks for showing us how it looked and worked, I hope somebody will want to buy it and restore it and show it someplace in use

Definitely would be nice for it to go somewhere it can be used!

You guys have quite the projects going 😃 cool John Deere artifact find 👍

Yes we do. That’s pretty typical this time of year when we have no field work that we can do.

Maybe contact VGG ( vice grip garage) he has several old tractors on his lodge channel. A tractor museum to pass on the old planter piece possibly.

With the right equipment the work is so much easier. I spent the last day digging a 100 foot trench by hand in hot Florida heat. I wish I had a mini excavator! Those old clay tile blocks were used up until the 1950's. usually for interior walls in multi story buildings because they are light weight. Interesting artifacts you can find on a farm. The hardest part of any demolition is seperating the concrete chunks from the dirt.

Now that doesn’t sound fun! Equipment usually makes it much easier lol. Interesting to know on the bricks! Thanks for that tidbit.

Y'all made short work of the barn demo in my opinion! You made it look easy with the proper big boi toys, it looked especially easy with the hyper speed recording. 😉

Haha it always looks easier than in real life. We never thought we’d get done with it!

That was some project to knock the barn and clear the site and you guys done an amazing job It was an interesting project to follow That random fact about the one inch of rain over one acre who would have taught it would be twenty -seven thousand gallons of water Wow that was interesting Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮

It is a John Deere circle hitch! A John Deere collector would love it in their collection! Save it if you can!

Nice work! Can't wait to see what it looks like all leveled out. Side question, the red shirt you were wearing at the beginning of the video. I have seen you wearing that on various videos and would love to find that design. It looks like its for a spanish club, is that correct? I want one..lol
@CatesFarming

Haha it is! One of my very random old cut offs that I still wear. It was from Spanish club back in my sophomore year of high school 😂

demoing is always a big job. Hopefully all the nails and spikes that didn't burn up, will rust away by the time you bring in equip with air filled tires.
@CatesFarming

Isn’t that the truth! We try to bury all of the leftover ash pile for that very reason.

If you get it all done in just one day ------------- that makes it a job. Pace yourself - always tomorrow

Don’t you guys have a scrap yard around somewhere near by to take that metal too
@CatesFarming
@CatesFarming 2 месяца назад
We do, but this metal was in pretty rough shape and wouldn’t have made economic sense to make the trip to our scrapyard.
@Peasal
@Peasal 2 месяца назад
Why don’t you scrap the metal?
@CatesFarming
@CatesFarming 2 месяца назад
We normally do, but it just didn’t workout for this project. Most of the metal was too rusty and didn’t make sense to make a 40 minute drive for it.
@willieb58
@willieb58 2 месяца назад
Remember where you buried that metal so when WW III starts you can dig it up for the scrap drives to come.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that but who knows anymore!
