@@thewannabefarmerswife I had one many many years ago. Baled a ton of hay with it. It had 2 cylinder Wisconsin engine on it. I made enough money the first summer to buy a power takeoff for it. Good old machine. The knotters today are almost identical to those used on that machine in the early 50s.
@@scottshaw986 ours originally had the 2 cylinder Wisconsin but got converted over at some point before us. They put a pto shaft on it, but never changed the tongue out. A couple years later Shawn found a super 66 for parts and we put the longer tongue and drive shaft on it. It is by far my favorite piece of equipment. The knotters are mind blowing. Shawn and I have discussed how not much has changed. It’s amazing just to think about how someone came up with the knotter system and probably just used a pencil and paper. No internet, no technology. Just their hands and an idea.
