You have super cattle a credit to you. Have you ever used red clover mix for silage or would u recommend the Italian ryegrass, I'm going reseeding silage ground and not sure wat the best option is

Never used red clover some swear by it but on a year like this maybe hard to get it dry enough? High in protein you’d need to be mixing it with ordinary silage and I don’t know about grazing it bloat etc. on i r grass you could get 4 -5 cuts you have to stay on top of it and you can graze it too same as grass but won’t last aslong as standard mixes 3 yrs max looses persistence after that if you have weeds can be controlled easier as no clover

Is that reseed just for silage ? OR can you grase it to .did you plough for it or ? Thanks I am always interested in your video
@Grahamkavanaghfarming
@Grahamkavanaghfarming Месяц назад
We will be silaging it hard but can be used for grazing no problem you don’t want to let it seed out as it is like a weed if in tillage rotation ya plough that as it was badly poached

How many cuts a year is it possible to get from that irg ? Had u it before this ?? Lovely looking stock .
@Grahamkavanaghfarming
@Grahamkavanaghfarming Месяц назад
You’d get 3 heavy cuts and maybe 5 light cuts for bales had it before won’t last much longer than 3 years
