You are most certainly not alone in this! I'm in the EXACT same position - our wedding is next year and we have just had an offer accepted on our dream house but I know it's still early days and anything can happen. We ended up looking outside of London for multiple reasons but just know that come this time next year you will be in a whole new chapter of your life and things will turn out the way they are meant to be!
Buying your first property, especially as a younger couple, takes up so many mental head space and can be so rough on you and your relationship. We eventually moved 2 months before our wedding. It wasn’t ideal whatsoever and it was extremely stressful , but it was our story and now we’re happily married for over a year and living with a view over the Antwerp skyline 😌 I know it can be so hard to believe, but everything really does happen for a reason! Congratulations on setting a wedding date! How exciting! That’s fantastic news!! As for the flat, just know that things happen for a reason, as hard as it may seem in that moment. My husband and I put an offer on so many homes that fell through, which broke my heart each time, but…..we toughed it out, and the home we bought ended up being the best one we could have ever hoped for. Be patient a little longer and things will fall into place for you both ❤️❤️

My fiancée (before she was my fiancée) was looking for a home to buy a couple years prior to meeting me and for the last year we've been looking together. We recently found out from their adult kids that now BOTH of my landlords have passed on. We decided since at that time, the wedding was 2 months away that we would wait until next year until rates went back down and separate the 2 big events. So because of the bad news with the landlords, we are now buying the house I've rented for the last 7yrs to avoid looking and failing. That being said...the lump sum we had saved for catering, decorations etc is now being used for the down payment, closing costs etc! Our wedding is now 6 weeks away and still waiting to close on the house. The amount of stress and arguments from time to time is crazy. We haven't had 'a life' the last 6 months. I realize things happen and life can throw u for a loop but we just have to make the best of it. Let's take each day at a time and just breathe ❤
Hugging sad to see you cry setbacks hurt because you planned on being or doing something. I understand wanted to move and something else has messed up our funds I am sick and tired of companies presenting themselves falsely but i am not giving up. you don't either okay More hugs

Geniun question why do you people still marry ? It s a big cost, has no vallue, I don t know a lot of people who still do ? Religion love ? Harder to break up ?
