Glad the price came down, got one back in 2015 and it was 130usd! Only thing I did not like about it was(other than the old price) I did not like the DMX channel layout. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the review. I'm an audio guy, and I needed something simple & sound activated for a backyard party to spice things up. Never heard of Tomtop. Great site too. Ended up with 2! Thanks again.
Hey Kris, bought these a couple years ago and have never been able to find a profile that works with the Chauvet Xpress S/w. The one supplied with the fixture does not work. Just wondering what you used to get it to work with your software?
Hi, thanks for watching. I was able to manually create the profile by using the dmx information that was supplied in the manual. Unfortunately this is very common for these lesser known lights.
@@lukaskonstantin9679 no worries. Anything that is dmx addressable can be made to work with that program as long as you can add its profile info as far as I know.
Basically I bought the venue tetra dmx controller after I watched your review. But because I don't speak " dmx controller language ", found out that my Kinta FX isn't compatible. So I have two options: return the controller or buy some cool lights to control them ( up to 300$ budget) My question, is this light compatible with that controller? Thanks ☺
Sorry that happened. Someone asked me about that light 3 months ago in the Tetra Control comments. It is not meant to work with any moving lights. You can find some in expensive up or washlights that would work great. If you need any help let me know.
I just bought one of these lights but i have no clue how to use my computer to program it, I have a SUSHI DS DMX controller, my only issue it trying to find the right brand and the starting address.
Probably wont find the brand. You will have to create a PROFILE. It is pretty easy. If this is the first fixture you are adding sinply use dmx address 001.
@@AWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWA I am not familiar with the software. Is there a pdf of the manual? Link it or email it to me and I will try to help u out.
I just went through all of the menu items and it does not seem that you can lock it to a partial range of movement. Best option is to mount it facing the direction you want to concentrate its beam. So perhaps mounting it so the base is sideways. This way it will never point behind or at you.
Thanks for watching....did you watch? Lol. There is no remote, box contents are shown at about 1:25. There is an auto function, but I always prefer dmx.
THAT is not rael dmx cable if you cut trhugh it you can see three wires Brown, blue and yelow, and writings 300/500 v so that is also electric cable for 50 wat apliences like light,
They used to run alot of specials. Not sure if the expense of trade has changed that or not. Hope everything goes back to normal. Dont think anything will change anytime soon unfortunately.
