I love that you included your age in the title because a lot of videos like this are all 22 year olds and it make some realize that it's possible and your never too old to change up ❤
While 34 is still young (I am the same age), it's definetly different from being in your early twenties. You'd do things with your own resources while younger people often still have their parents' support. Not that that's mentioned in their great videos. 😅 On the topic of change: I just changed jobs after working 6,5 years in the same place. My current job is really different and it's so odd to make a fresh start and being the unexperienced one again. This was easier when I was younger and it took some courage. But as you said: you're never too old to change! 😊
I agree im in my 30’s ready to start a new chapter like this and I waited years for it (for many personal reasons) sometimes it feels “when will it be my time?” But having patience is key and videos like this make me happy! Thankful to have found this channel!
Awww you crying while editing your family hits close to home! I lived far from family too at one point and I was home sick! Happy Belated Birthday! I'm 32 turning 33 next year and I appreciate having a RU-vidr in our generation
so excited to see which one you end up choosing!!. Ive watched all your apartment hunting vlogs and its almost time to move. Hells kitchen seems to be the cleanest so far! Im sure this is not an easy decision :/
Im so happy I’ve found you. First video I’ve watched. I really enjoyed how real you are about life and your situation. I moved away from my family ( Hungary ) and I’m finding difficulties to adjust to then American life style. Currently in Fl. I’m so surprised about the prices in NYC. Here we pay £1800/ month including water . 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. You are amazing doing it alone! Also never heard about not having a washer and dryer in the apartment. I guess due to the apartment size🤔 lived in London for 11 years and ooh gosh watching your videos I really miss the city life 😄 I’m going to binge watch the rest of your videos!
Sweetie, in NYC heat and water is ALWAYS included. If they tell you otherwise, they are stealing from you. BTW, you are looking in very expensive neighborhoods. UES, Village, Lenox hill.
I like your videos, there are simple, clean and honest. Just like you, I too lived alone in Vegas in a studio apartment at 35. Live life to fullest because you will create many beautiful memories and not so beautiful memories. It's a wonderful life at 35 and single. I wish you the best life from a man who lived it.
I'm so excited for you to be hunting for a new apartment! (I wish you a very luminous, bright flat - in addition to one with none of the previous issues!). You have a beautiful family and it looks like you have a beautiful relationship with them, too. Thanks again for sharing the wedding videos, it was so lovely witnessing such happy moments!
I missed your weekly NYC vlogs. I’m so happy you’re moving out of that apartment. I wish you to find a place that’s going to bring you peace and comfort ❤
My heart was hurting for you. I already could tell how happy you were at home. I was thinking it would have been so hard for you to rewatch edit so soon after leaving back to NY. Hugs and love to you.
Good luck with the apartment hunting. I love your relationship with your family and your dog is always so sweet. Thank you for another journey in your life. Have a nice advent, greetings from Germany and all the best.❤
Yah! Have been waiting for this. Wherever you end up make sure they clean it properly before you move in and if it is dirty get them back to clean it! You can do this!
Thank you 🙏🏽💗 that will be one of the items I will be confirming before signing the lease! But I’ll still clean it. Can’t trust that they would do a thorough job
Aw Tisha 🥺 my heart hurts at how emotional the home videos got to you. I’m super looking forward to this next journey with you in your apartment hunting series. I love this channel 🫶🏽
Welcome back so happy to see your vlog today. I started following you when you were apartment hunting and you moved into your current apartment and to be able to go on this journey with you again is exciting. I know your next apartment will be amazing. Take all you have learned it will serve you well
i'm so happy you're back! I'm moving to the city next month so this new update in your life could not come at a better time for me. Sending you good vibes on your apartment hunt girly pop
That’s so exciting!!! Good luck with apartment hunting. Hope you have the apartment that you are looking for in the desired neighborhood and price range. Sending you all the good vibes, luck and love ♥️
So glad I came across you. I’ve moved to a different state and left what I knew was home. Thankful I have my partner and cat but i still get homesick. ❤
Welcome back Tisha. Now on the apartments. Those first 5 apartments were a bit scary. I like the last one you showed. I know from what you've been through, these Huntings are going to be intense.
That third apartment....ugh. The gall of some landlords! I liked the West village one but yeah--so small. Last one was obviously the nicest. It's so interesting seeing what's out there in NYC! One of my must-haves is a window in the bathroom. Claustrophobia! Good luck with the hunt! I know you'll find something much better than your present one. I still keep remembering that one time when you were talking about cockroaches and then a big one right on your medicine cabinet mirror popped out and waved at you. LOL but also YIKES.
Happy belated birthday! I love more low key birthdays for myself lol, but love when other people go all out! Loved seeing the apartments, I hope you find something you really like, and are able to get that NY experience without having to endure so many apartment issues. I'm willing it in for 2024 for you! I can relate to that empty feeling after coming back from visiting family, but I cherish the times I get to see them. Take care and good luck with the hunt ❤
Thank you so so much ♥️. Home sickness has hit pretty bad this time. I agree!! We cherish these moments a lot more & understand the value. Sending you all the love always & hoping 2024 will bring both of us prosperity, good luck & good vibes. Take care!!!!
The rent prices make no sense to me. I know it's because of location but these apartments are so small, look old, dingy and dirty. I like to visit NY but idk if I could commit to living there
New sub. So interesting to learn more about living in the city. Curious to know what one dryer load and washer load costs. Wonderful vlog, looking forward to more.
You should move to Oklahoma, in Tulsa you can get a first class apartment for $1,600/month, two bath and two or three bedroom with your own washing machine.
Hey, Iam a happy with ours reunion (didnt wacth last two but I will:). ....)and now the haunting videoooo Yeah soooooo amazing bec that was our beginning and here we are again repeating that unforgettable experience 😂
It's so hard moving in nyc. My first apartment was there, it was a studio. I liked the neighborhood and it was quite big for a studio but in the summer we had LOTS of cockroaches, and I couldn't take it another summer so we left and found this pretty one-bedroom in Jersey City (at the same price as the one in Manhattan!). I wish you the best of luck!
Hi! Just found you and subscribed, or more like your video found me. Lol We share a birthday! I'll have to catch up with how your apartment hunting went. 😊
I liked the West Village apartment! I might also be biased as I loved that area with its cafes and memories of hanging out with my cousins there on my last trip to NYC! 😉😉 Loved the "come along with me" style vlog! 🫶
Not me jamming to the intro song 😅. I'm so happy for you and this new needed journey. Like I said before, the struggle will make your new place a magical place for you ✨️
NYC apartment hunting is so stressful! If you're looking for more space and are ok being a little farther out, checking out Harlem or Washington Heights, or look to Queens for more space for your money.
Hi! New subscriber, 2nd vid watched and first comment 🙌🏻 Wanted to say thank you for being so thorough about your apartment search! I hope to do that soon, so it is very helpful to see options in that price range/size. That aside, love your content in general and can't wait to watch future vids! 🤗🫶🏼
Hey, Good luck for your apartment hunting. I went through apartment hunting just few months ago and it’s a headache for sure. You are doing well. Take care! :)
my ideal budget is 2400 😅. haven’t seen that many great apartments for that price. I may have to stretch it to 2600 ( which is the highest range for the budget). UES does have a lot more options! Thank you 🙏🏽💗
Best of luck in your search, Tisha!!! Also, belated happy birthday. 🤎 Your last Nepal video got me teary-eyed so I can only imagine how much of an emotional roller coaster it was for you. Hugs!
All the best with your apartment hunting! I liked the last one you saw (I know it’s over budget). BTW, that Nepalese restaurant looked like it has delicious food!
In case you see this, I’m praying for you and wishing you much joy and peace in the New Year. I’ve been where you are. It’s not easy, especially alone. I will have to do it again soon. Subbed and sending you a virtual hug! You got this!
I am looking for apts atm also and when you went to the Hell's Kitchen apt...I saw that on streeteasy and gagged when I saw the black bathroom and here it is on your vlog LOL A lot of these apts are so overpriced which is frustrating. Good luck and I hope you find a great apartment!
@@TishaShrestha I don't have one. I am looking and have found MY apt but meeting up with the agent is a nightmare due to work and the holidays. Hopefully, I get to see the apt this upcoming week. I hope you find yours in all the craziness. 🙂
Yayyy new adventures! You definitely deserve a better space! I'm excited for you and thank you for taking us along on your journey!! ❤ Yayyy to Nov birthdays! Mine is too! Happy Belated Birthday! But I turned 40 🤭🫣😂🥰
Lovely vlog❤keep your country and family in your heart and find more things to love in NY to balance the scale. That’s how i coped with moving to another continent.
You always look so beautiful and put together. Even when I know you aren’t feeling the best. Did I hear you have the roach problem under control? Did you consider staying in your one bedroom and save money to get another one bedroom and not settle for less space? Just a thought. You do have it decorated so cute. When I saw you cry, I had such a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Love and hugs honey.
Thank you so much 🥺♥️. Yeah the roach situation has not been a problem lately 🤞🏽I do not want to stay here anymore. Management never dealt with the mold situation and I am so done dealing with the management (my super is awesome tho). Hope you and your loved ones are doing welll!!!
Good video. That thing you are doing with your face , at the end of the video - is that a massage? Is it for toning ? I am going to try that. Thank you .
Hi love! Love to see your new apartment hunting videos but hate to see that you have to do it all over again lol😢I don’t know if it’s my luck or illusions, but it seems like the nyc apt prices kind of drop this year(still overpriced tho). I was able to rent a high rise luxury apartment at NoMad because it’s like $1500 cheaper than this time last year! But I rented a 2b2b with roommate so it’s different than studio for sure. Anyway hope you find the greatest deal this time!
Hey!!! thank you so so much ❤ yeah back to this struggle bus and still going. I thought this time ard prices have increased and I def having a hard time finding an apartment this time ard
It’s no wonder everyone from New York is moving here to Florida I have a 1700 sq apt 3/2 with washer dryer n a car garage. Community has pool state of the art gym office space for use and just so much more amenities. Im 10 months from downtown and 20 from the theme parks n I pay $2700 n that’s a lot for Orlando
I absolutely do not get laundromats. I live in middle Europe country and here we always have the washing maschine in the apartment. Couldn’t imagine having to take back and forth my laundry all the time. Can someone explain why this is the way you do laundry?
What neighborhood do you feel reflects who you are at this stage of your life? The apartments on day one were horrible. The kitchen and layout wasn’t good. I know you still have your one day commute for work. Maybe a location near the train station so you aren’t transferring. Laundry in unit? Has your broker discussed rent pricing?
Thank you 🙏🏽💗If I could afford, west village is my number one :). It’s not possible right now. I do really like UWS and UES. Yeah looking for apartments near express trains because of commute. Would love to have laundry as well but with my price point it would be rare. I don’t have a designated broker. I am finding these apartments via Zillow or street east
Heyy!!! Thank you so much 🙏🏽💗The one we went to is called Bhancha Ghar in Queens. They have good jhool momo and sel roti. Queens (if you can go to queens instead of other boroughs or jersey): 1) Lhasa Fast Food- love their steam momo, laphing, chowmein, 2) Momo crave has some good momo options as well (steam, jhool and sadheko momo, Sukuti momo) 3) Mustang for thali (rice, lentil, veggies, meat and pickle) 4) Lali guras for takeaway or frozen momo 5) Bhnacha ghar- jhool momo, sel roti They are so many other places I still need to try :)) Manhattan: 1) Lhasa Jersey 1) empreyian for momo. Not many options in Jersey
Does the apartment have to be in Manhattan? Have you tried Long Island City or Brooklyn? My son's former apartment was a one bedroom in Bushwick and it cost him about $2500 (two years ago). It had more updated appliances, washer/dryet in unit. Nice bathroom, too. Rooftop has a nice view of Manhattan and the windows allowed a lot of natural light in.
My sister says the same thing :) she always suggest me to move back to downtown JC. I I want to live in Manhattan for few years before I move to other boroughs or move back to downtown JC 💗
@@TishaShrestha well I hope you can find a good place. You're young, and NYC is for the young. So many opportunities for them. My son lives there and he likes it. Besides, those opportunities he could only dream of when he was living in our small town, he's getting them now that he's there.
