She seems like a nice person, however, to say you are frugal is not really true. Frugal is not purchasing lavish items. It is being simple and buying items that cost very little. Custom topiaries, and fine finishes come with $$$$$. Her home is absolutely beautiful and I'm happy for her, however, I and others are aware of what these items cost.

She’s worked for everything she has and got there by sacrificing and being frugal, this is clearly a place she has dreamed about and will spend so much time in so in the long run it makes more sense to have it the exact way she wants it. I chuckle when I hear that. Being frugal is not some quirky hobby, its forced upon a lot of people. No way normal people can spend millions of dollars that they didn't even have lol. The house is cool and I can see the appeal, the view are stunning, it seems Disney are very lenient and willing to listen to these home buyers request on how to decor things. it definitely looks expensive. but i also think how everything is just so... shiny and have a lot of glasses? who does that? maybe because they will not be the one to clean it. only priveleged people love white and glass theme, since they definitely hire people to clean their house to maintain that shiny state they love so much. you think their houde would be colourful, but everything looks so monochrome they might as well just buy a normal house in normal neighborhood.

I love angie but I have heard that remark a few times in her series. I dont think she realizes that many people get it for mobility reasons. They are usually very wealthy too but they may also have a disability. 😕 If I had the means to get a house in Golden oak I would keep the elevator for my mom since she is disabled.

I just got the impression that if there are only two floors, there is no reason for them personally to have an elevator. if you have a four story house then sure I get it, but that was the impression I got from that remark.

I have friends who definitely aren’t rich and they had an elevator in their house. If I had a house with stairs like that I’d definitely want an elevator. Legs don’t always work and like to make me fall down stairs.

All I could think was how I would need the elevator for my special needs daughter to get up to her bedroom. It would be a bummer to ruin the look of those stairs with a stair lift.

I live in bergen county NJ which is where alpine is, many homes in alpine are twenty million. You can live in either area and be frugal in your own ways. You know what you can afford and you cut back on things you feel you do not need. That was all she meant. If a person buys a lexus and does not get the premium package maybe they feel frugal. Someone with a prius may laugh when a lexus owner says that word, someone with a ferrari may not. She meant no disrespect, She's obviously well off compared to most people so it is being taken wrong.

That’s the thing people don’t see it’s corporate nature. That’s why it’s one of the most successful businesses. It touches on peoples hearts and feelings and that’s what people resonate with. Much like an actor becomes larger than life Disney is a group of ideas that are illustrated that is all. Think about it. Disney is just shavings of dust in a piece of paper At first. That idea grew into peoples hearts and souls. It touched them. They choose to take it into them with love and admiration. It is quite profound

It’s sort of weird how out of control attention seeking virtue signaling has gotten. Like you want her to drop tens of thousands of dollars to install an elevator she will not need because there’s the tiniest sliver of a chance that someone who’s wheelchair bound will suddenly come to the house and need to get up to the second floor bedrooms… Get a job/invest your money/figure your life out instead of whining about people you’ll never meet.

Idk why people can be critical of someone they know nothing about. They pay wayyyyyyyyyyy more than their fair share of taxes as Canadians with a US vacation home in their tax bracket. Their wealth isn't harming anyone. They actually try to help others achieve the success they have with hard work by teaching others. But sure, just hate.

This has always been a dream of mine! Since visiting orlando at 8 years old I have always wanted to live at Disney! When Golden oaks was established i looked on with eyes wide open! I am from the UK so this would have to be a miracle! I feel so much happier in Disneyworld, my anxiety and depression litterally disappears! Location location location. Where I live a house like this would cost double and have far less outdoor space. You’re not just paying for the house, you’re paying for the setting, it just depends on what you value.

Not gonna lie, I’m so envious of your lifestyle, when I watch this all I see are dollar signs and how wonderful it must be to have neverending funds to do whatever your hearts desire, I mean this in a non hateful way.
