I like the lamp and the mirror next to each other

I was literally thinking how the rug would look nice in the bedroom! It looks great there. I think you need something with a neutral weave or subtle pattern for the living room, to add some texture. It will also help hide dirt and animal dander. And the lamp doesn’t look too big! Once you get some additional pieces and have everything styled, it won’t look so out of place. 💕

When you set up the lamp next to the mirror, I literally thought to myself, “THATS SO PRETTY!” and then you said you were conflicted 😭 I think it’s sooooo cute! Like Kennesey down below said, to just get another lamp with that same lighting. I thought that warm tone lighting was PERFECT next to the mirror. Also, I think the mirror goes well with the white, because you have dark frames with your white shelves! It all looks so much better than you think 😊🙏🏼

I think you need a headboard behind the bed with a piece of art above. I'd prefer the carpet to be a little further back toward the head of the bed. Love the mirror in the living room and the light is not too big. The touch of silver adds texture.

I would definitely put a shelf above the bed, it would look super cute with some little plants (especially if they hang over a little bit) and frames or something. I love watching the house come together slowly it’s so comforting

Your little “dying” plant is doing fine! There’s green poking through so it’s still alive. Plants go through phases. Just bc it’s “dead” looking doesn’t mean it’s actually dead. It has to do with seasons most of the time. They go dormant and then spring back up when it’s time

I would say that social media definitely makes people feel the need to be perfect or appear perfect. On TikTok and Instagram you will see a lot of people posting fake daily routines to look more productive than they are, people with multiple children seemingly having limitless time to organize their house and do food prep, filtered videos and FaceTuned and photos. And I bet it's magnified 10 fold in Korea because of all the plastic surgery, emphasis on skincare, and culture of having designer items. I follow some foreign influencers in Korea and they are getting facials and massages weekly, nails and lashes done monthly, doing pilates classes. A lot of these people work as models but models are some of the most visible people on social media. Nothing wrong with any of these things by the way, it's just hard feeling like you don't have enough time and money to look as good as they do or to be as organized as they are!

Hi! Love the upgrades you are doing to the apartment. The round lamp is very cute. I would add it to the left side of the cabinets (almost at the edge). The mirror I would actually hang, instead of leaning it on the cabinets. That way you fill up more of the wall space. You can actually use velcro so you don't have to drill into the wall. Also, by doing that you have more of a transition between the dark wood and the white wood from the cabinets. And I would move the candle, box and cactus to cover the wall outlets. As far as the bedroom question, you can hang your white and black print that you have at the foot of the bed, or the idea of the floating shelf would be cute as well. 🥰

Yes on the shelf above the bed. I also think you should get a little natural wood bench for the foot of your bed. As far as the rug, you should get a patterned, washable one

It's the silver on the lamp that throws it off....everything is warm toned so it stands out. I think it needs to be a little plump shaped lamp. Also definitely floating shelves for the bedroom

For the living room I would recommend a rug that is flat and has a slight pattern and to it (which could also add warmth?). If this was my room lol as you said, I would definitely go for a frame with some art (light earthy tones) BUT that floating shelf with some greenery would also work 🙂 wish you the best!

Noooo! The mirror is too small compared to the wall space above it and with the size of the cabinet, the proportions look wrong some how. Maybe a bigger round mirror?But if you love it, go for it. X

Some small decorations that are for every season will give it more of a lived in feel also along with some pictures on the walls 🥰 i love inspirational/ motivational quotes to keep me on track and in a great mental health mindset 🤗 The world gets very busy and sometimes it can weigh you down so I like to have positive thoughts and visual reminders.

In the corner wall, have looked at macrame wall art, you can get that coastal vibe and your colour palate your going for. Just another idea, instead of a painting or pic. Apartment looking great so far. ❤

For above the bed - 1 or 2 small floating shelves on the large wall, then a lil hanging plant in the corner (could be faux too)? 💕

I would do a big art print, gallery wall of photos or tapestry on the blank wall in the bedroom. I wouldn't do a shelf out of fear of something falling on your head while you sleep!

The lamp is gorgeous, I do feel like the mirror is too small for the space. I love the rug in the bedroom, I would find art work with the dark wood for the bedroom to compliment the living room since they are next to each other. I would get the same mirror but larger, I love the contrast! I would also get a shelf's for the bedroom for extra storage wicker basket or decor! IMO the surf art wouldn't really go with the cozy bedroom vibe, maybe for the patio wall or bathroom would look more suitable? Loving the content! So here for it!

I love the new changes your making in your home. I actually love the lamp next to the mirror, especially at night. If you don't like it there, you can add it to your bedroom maybe & place it on a nightside/mini table. Also the rug & the plant in the bedroom was an excellent choice. Great video as always 😊👍🏾

I think a macrame wall hanging would be cute above the bed. There are lots of designs and colors to choose from, and I think it would go great with the overall aesthetic you are going for.

Prolly an unpopular opinion but i think the bed should be turned around and be against the window and a big picture like a nature picture or Korean traditional picture on the wall, other then that ur room looks perfect! Especially wit the lights at night ❤❤

I think what makes a home feel like a home is the people in it. As long as you, your bf and little Cleo are healthy and safe, then you already have a beautiful home ❤ I agree though, when I first moved in my home I wanted to go with certain colors or a theme but i was struggling to find the pieces and colors I wanted so I would get stuck on how to decorate. The curtains made the room look even better & I loved the mirror. A vase and/or candle would be good on the console too. Floating shelves would be cool in your room and you can add your favorite books or anything else really. What happened to the idea of the coffee table (even if its a small one)? I watch your videos but sometimes I dont get notifications and then months pass by & I have to search for you again in order to get caught up 😢 You're doing an amazing job, don't forget that!

Love how cozy the room is looking at night! Floating shelves are pretty but can make the space look a little smaller. I would add fairy curtain lights to that corner above the bed. I think it’d add the perfect cozy touch to tie the room together!

Yes, a shelf above the bed would be nice! For a rug for the livingroom, look up Ruggable, they are washable rugs, nice with thr doggie. And size up to a bit bigger rug!

I think plants on the console and a floating shield with a plant above the bed. The white and natural wood is beautiful but you definitely need some green/plants ❤ also loving this vlog!

Hi Adrienne, For the bedroom, try putting those salt lamps instead of the battery candles and put the candles back in the living room next to the mirror. One on each side of the mirror, with smaller ones, next to it. You can also put those large bamboo fan wall decor above the bed

The plant looks better now on the other side of the living room (it was too much in the corner with the lamp). The round brown mirror looks good, but maybe too small there?? (currently too empty. The round lamp is not too big and looks very nice in the evening (in the daytime the lamp looks yellow on RU-vid). For more color: a green vase, green candles (same color like your pillow), you can easily change everything (on a low budget). I would definitely get one to put in there. * when you put it back in the living room don't put it so close to your couch. * love the lamp but again it's too close to the mirror imo so is the other side, try spacing them out a bit instead of gathering everything all in one area. Group with the book and candle in the right, mirror in the middle with lamp and maybe a small plant to the left or even a cute doily under lamp. * I also think a hanging green plant would be super cute to the left of the mirror all the way at the end of the dresser. * for the bedroom above the bed....I see a picture but it's all preferences...I can't stand having something above my head when I sleep lol maybe you would like a wooden panel instead. More abstract than real life picture. It's looking amazing! Love the curtains and the rug looks great there.

For the living room carpet, maybe a green rug to match the cushion. As for the bedroom, a headboard that allows room for fairy lights to be wrapped around or a mosquito net hanging from the ceiling and over the bed, like the round hanging ones. Hope that helps Adrienne!

I think you need to put your bed on the large wall, then get a dresser or a shelf unit for the space where your bed is now.

I recommend you to watch Caroline Winkler's channel, she recently made a guide on wall decor and she's also good with other interior design related issues. But you did a good job so far, I love the new curtains in the bedroom! It's not always easy to get the right pieces together :)

Floating shelf seems like the most efficient and versatile use of the space.

I think for the bedroom the shelf with ivy is a great idea! Maybe add in some colorful flowers, too, to help eliminate the hospital room vibe lol. I definitely think getting a super tall plant with a brown basket or pot for the bedroom would be lovely. I think the lamp in the living room is not quite right for the space. The color of the shade is a little off for the other browns and off-whites you have in the space. Looking forward to the next one!

For your bridge artwork, get a floating frame. I used to do custom framing so I know how frustrating it is to find frames for pieces that aren’t standard size. Your best bet for a good price is to go with a floating frame 100%

Hang the shells (that are usually in your window) above the bed, centered. They’re simple, a clean and beachy look. Across from the bed I’d hang the black and white picture and maybe do a little mural wall type thing with that one and two smaller sized black and white photos (one of you and your boyfriend, of Cleo, home in the states etc.). Yes to the tall plant in the corner. As for the living room, maybe a circular rug to go in front of the couch/next to the ottoman part so it’s easier to roll up if need be for yoga etc.

Your new bedroom curtains look great! Soft and cozy, but adds some privacy. They're not too heavy for your style. Pulling in a darker neutral colored rug (you have a nice neutral already on one of the throw pillows) would keep the calm vibe while warming up the space and softening the floor's look. I agree that the silver on the little light is too cool for your warm vibes in that room. I would opt for a taller lamp, but I think those cute, smaller ones might be trending right now. If it were my place, I'd def. go with a larger rug, one that slides under the sofa legs (plus a little more) and still comes out on the left side about where it is now. A larger, good quality rug (you deserve it, girl) will cut down on what I call the dorm-room effect (where you have a rug the size of your white one running between two twin beds in a dorm room (sometimes with a trunk on top to work like a coffee table, but I digress). A larger rug will anchor your funiture so it doesn't look like everything is floating around the rug. It will make the seating area feel cozy and give it just a little separation from the harder items on the other side of the room, which will then add a nice balance to your space so those other items can shine, so to speak. You did ask for opinions, 😊. Also, I am looking for an affordable 4" candle in ivory like the one in this video, but could not find what I wanted on Amazon. So frustrating. Found an overpriced one at a retailer, but it was way too expensive. Can you please post a link to the ones you have. If you got them from Amazon, can you add it to your storefront for us? Thanks.

Love the floating shelf over the bed idea! You can rotate pics and decor which will give you flexibility over commitment. I also think another lamp similar to the one in the bedroom would be great on the living room console. Would compliment the warm, wood vibe. Lastly, maybe you can find a living room rug with a tan/beige abstract design. Something 'sandy' that will bring back the feel of living near the beach and will mask minor dirt and crumbs. But really, take your time. What matters is how comfortable and homey it feels to the three of you!

My suggestion is put the cute lamp from your living room you don't like in your bedroom when you get a higher nightstand. Love the ottoman suggestion I gave you. Its just new and fluffy if you start sitting on it ,it will become low like your couch. Are you able to fluff up your couch cushions? Love your new round mirror. I like your living room without any rug. Easier to clean. Maybe get more colored couch pillows. Your bedroom curtains look so good. My suggestion for over your bed wall. I thought the lamp looked super cute but the silver and brown do indeed clash. Other than that, perfect size for the lamp and I would definitely hang the mirror. For the bedroom, although the idea of a floating shelf seems the most reasonable, it will collect so much dust, so I really don't think it is worth the hassle (although it will look super pretty). As others recommended, a headboard would be the best option I feel. And as for the rug in the bedroom/living room, you really need some colour. Even if it just beige, get some color, it will warm up the space sooo much more. Hope that helps :)

Your home is really coming along. In the living room, maybe place that lamp on the other side of the mirror to give some balance since you have the tall lamp and the tall shelf on the same side. Making it feel a little heavy on that wall. In the bedroom, what do you think about small mirrors placed asymmetrically with frames the same color as the floor lamp. Bring it all together.

Maybe finding a mobile art piece to go above the bed. I’ve seen some other Korean vlogers with mobile art pieces in their space and it definitely gives decor to the space while being minimalistic 😊

Thoughts on shifting the bed kitty corner where it is now and trying a neutral headboard? That would give you room for two small bedside tables. Also, a neutral rug in living room with some muted design work be really pretty and disguise better the lint, etc.

The mirror needs to be way bigger and that lamp is a good size. The tree and that side table need to be pushed away from the couch you have it smooshed into the couch and definitely the rug needs to go under the couch. Did you think about getting blackout curtains in your bedroom to block out the sun more? I would put some kind of wall tapestry or like a macramé design top of the bed no more shelves. Also, the lamp on the console table needs to go on the other side of the mirror so it’s not on the same side as your floor lamp.

Personally, I really like the lamp that you bought! I think it looks great where you have it, and the color of the lampshade does well at breaking up the white you already have. For your bedroom, I suggest some sort of horizontal artwork that is green (like plants/leaves artwork) because the pop of green the plant is currently providing makes the space look bigger! The curtains you have also do well making the space look bigger.

If your house is a rental, I' d like to recommend Wall-Pin instead of wall nail, there're in the Coupang.

I’m a new subscriber from Canada and I love your videos ❤ I’m so glad you asked for some decoration ideas because I’m actually an Interior Designer 😃 Above your bed, I would put a beige macrame(sorry I put an amazon link in my last comment but I think RU-vid deletes comments with links) For the small living room lamp you bought recently for your console, I would return it and get a new one just like the « vibe lamp » you have in your bedroom so you would have 2 if you want the symmetry you talked about. Lastly, I would get a dark beige-grey rug to put in front of your couch, this color would look good and it’s the best to camouflage pet hairs ☺️

For the bedroom corner some floating shelves would work. Also a headboard would work. They have some headboards with storage. Comes in handy at night to put your glasses, books, kleenex, lotion, pills ect.

Do they have something like Goodwill over there? If you are afraid of commitment, it might be cool to go thrifting and find some art that way. Or support local artists- maybe there is an art show/ local market nearby that you can check out.

I'm a korean living in the USA now and I'm so fascinated by this story of this white woman randomly living in Korea lol. I did not know a single white person in Korea. Anyway I think the food there is much healthier than the food here (the convenience store stuff aside) so this is probably good for your health
