Moving into Social Housing in Crieff, Scotland after Six Years as an Unpaid Carer 

Interesting day today, waiting for the local flooring guys to come along and lay the new low-cost vinyl throughout the apartment. Decided to go for the same vinyl in all the rooms.
I’m thankful that the housing association replaced the damaged floorboard in the kitchen for free. This was organised and completed surprisingly quickly, within a few days. I’m glad I asked!
Do you think it’s weird that council homes and housing associations give us an empty shell? Should the community care grant, which helps people to purchase essential items, white goods, and furniture for their new apartment be made more accessible by expanding the eligibility criteria to allow those of us with more than £200 in savings to qualify for this grant?
