Moving Into SVA (2019) - A Parent's Perspective 

As an administrator at this school, this is the story that we never get to see. We welcome all students with open arms and embrace them into our family. As a parent of a freshman college student who my husband and I dropped off to college in August, I can absolutely relate. I cried for both sides, this was beautifully done. Thank you sharing your journey!

Well done….. Our daughter is currently in her 4th year and your story mirrors a lot of we went and are going through……. In fact her 1st year resident dorm was almost exactly what you’ve shown…. I enjoyed reminiscing by watching this video…. Best of luck to her and both of you as parents. The COVID-19 year absolutely sucked as many kids suffered academically and socially…. which shouldn’t happen given the chance to go to college in NYC. Let’s cross our fingers for a better year and future for our kids.

So bitter sweet for me. 😢 Just drove our daughter to NYC from TN to attend SVA three weeks ago. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Miss my daughter so much 😭💓, but I know she's safe and going to do great things.

This video has reflected our common feelings. Thank you for sharing. Our daughter is going to start next semester to face-to-face education (this semester online). But time passes so quickly. We seem to postpone the same intense emotions until January. I'm gonna miss her every breath at home.

Tengo 37 años... en el 2012 a mis 25 fui 3 meses a hacer Continuing Education courses en SVA. Fue el MEJOR año de mi vida... nunca lo voy a olvidar. Me emocioné hasta las lagrimas de ver a esta joven estudiante y sus padres ayudarla a instalarse. Ojalá pueda algun día volver
