I feel so bad for all the comments I have seen in regards to people wishing they could have seen these guys live. I discovered this band several years ago and fell in love and I remember they went on tour with my favorite band Coheed and Cambria and I was like "oh he'll yes!" And I had the privilege of seeing them live and it was magical like way better than any of the RU-vid vids they have. I hope one day they will resurface..
Wow, just wow. Simply amazing. I only just started getting into these guys a few days ago and I'm already falling in love. These guys have such passion for music, you can hear it in every note. Amazing. New favorite band right here :)
Man i cant explain how much i love this song or how it means so much to me. There truly isnt any other band out there that can compare to the feeling and sound moving mountains is able to make. They are the most unique band that can express any feeling, any idea, through music. If you confused about a situation and you dont know how to feel about it i suggest listening to this band, i promise that you will find your answer and along with it solace. MM
12 years later. I still get it dude. What a jam. This album altered my taste so hard when ot came out..I just heard waves playing while in a record store and bought it then and there..never looked back..they calmed down on the self titled but its still brillian
I got to meet these guys last night after the concert with Coheed. They preformed extremely well, despite being the opening act. They were all very very nice, especially mitch. amazing guys.
Yeah, I realise people appreciate the music, it's just I like it more when the artists get to see/hear a reaction that shows they've hit something big in everyone. I mean I just hope these guys realise how much we love the music xD
This song is by far the best I've heard in a long time. Not only for the music itself but for the emotions... I mean when I listen to that lyrics is like "Oh, wow." and that part about the "worst thing of all" makes me wanna clap like mad.
It's rare a band can change in a way that develops their sound while still holding onto their original brilliance. Like Brand New, with Deja Entendu to Devil and God. Love Moving Mountains.
this reminds me of the first time i heard Thrice. it was an amazing sound that i never imagined before and i instantly hit me hard. same thing with Moving Mountains; this is... i don't even have words for it. and it will always last forever =')
Saw them in Seattle as they opened up for Thrice. I researched them and found this video when I heard they were part of the tour.. I've been blown away from their sound ever since. Such a damn shame for their break-up.
to this day, I still don't know.. they barely released their 3rd album and only played 3 shows and that was it.. they did create 2 songs several years later and did 2-3 other shows on the East coast, I think they might be doing other projects, but its hard to say, something that I try to research but can't seem to find much on.
I'm from California and flew to NY to see them in Dec last year. Seems like they get together once in a while for a show or projects but not dedicated to it full time. Not familiar with their whole history (members / paths etc.) but seemed like they had a full crew at the NY show (like 6 people?).
loved them before seeing them, then when they opened for Thrice it was like a dream tour for me cause Thrice is my favorite band and MM was in heavy rotation. They bundled all of their albums for like $20, it was insane. Such an amazing band and I still jam them to this day.
Saw them at warped in 2011 flew from Dallas to saint Louis just to see them because they skipped Dallas. There was 3 people there and then I met them all at their tent that Gregory was very nice.
@Jaytothecore Sometimes, when I see a band that just moves me and does something to me, I can't scream and shout. All I can do is stand there and look at them and realise that yes, that did indeed just happen. And I hope that they can see in my eyes my adoration for their music and I go home in almost a trance, hardly capable of believing I just saw what I saw.
Best song on this album. No contest. Pneuma is still a far superior album in my opinion though. Listening to that particular album is truly a "religious" experience.
i know ur comment is a year old, but if you look at the crowd while during the entire thing, everybody has a "whoa.. this is pretty cool.." look on their faces.
the record quality over the studio album sucks, i mean its unproffesinal... music is luoer than the words and i cant hear a things, this guys must change thier record label! they are amazing
