Thank you for the book recommendation, I will totally pick that one up! I struggle with anxiety a lot - no fun being risk group! At least the pandemic solved my social anxiety though, it‘s now perfectly sane to avoid people when you‘re at risk, lol 😂 In theory I know a lot about brain stuff already because I studied some Neuroscience at uni, but I definitely need some better practical coping mechanisms to retrain my brain. Breaking old habits is so much harder than forming new ones, ugh! Most of the stuff on anxiety I‘ve read was the typical non-science based „It‘s all a matter of attitude, try to meditate“ nonsense, and I just wanted to throw those books in the bin for being useless fluff talk. Looking forward to reading a book where the author actually knows what they‘re talking about! Rare in the self-help section!
