As a Father of 3 grown children I have to say that the moments of filming where your little one is walking/screeching through the frame takes me back... "Laugh at my joke" she says, after telling a corny 'dad' joke. lol Seriously, I was looking around at all that you both have done; every strip of wire, two-by-fours measured and cut, windows, exhaust fans, control panels, solar panels, etc., and it is absolutely mind boggling that you've done all of this on your own. Simply incredible. And I recently saw your video of how you started and all of your doubts, which really puts things into perspective. You started from scratch, just an idea. What a truly amazing journey. And what a wonderful life lesson for your daughter. That if you are willing to take a risk and work hard, despite obstacles and self doubt, that dreams can be achieved. That, and love of course, is the absolute best gift that you can give her. My hat is off to you. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing your continued journey.

When we had our home sprayed we put Sheetrock up around Nichole’s office. When they sprayed they also did the interior walls of her office, thus making it almost sound proof. Not to add a last minute thing to your checked off list, but they were spraying and that Sheetrock was going up anyway. We just changed a few install items in the build. Made a huge difference for her office space. Merry Christmas to you guys.

a small piece of advice: when running electrical wiring in conduits within wall insulation, you should consider the temperature in that conduit on a cold winters day. if you have 70 farenheit, 70 percent relative humidity inside and this goes into your conduit and having e.g. minus 5 outside, you will have, say 30 in the conduit and all that vapour will condensate in the tube. It might go into hot wiring. Just saying. Apart from that, loving your videos. Best season greatings from Denmark.

If your gonna do spray foam, do yourself a favour as it sticks to everything, and cover your sealed floor either with cardboard or construction paper. You’ll be glad you did on clean up. Good luck 👍🏻

What do you mean “if”? They are, and if the spray foam guys don’t cover the floor then they need to take the cost of the clean up off the final bill. Spray foam companies here in Nevada always protect areas that aren’t going to get sprayed.

It’s been my experience never to assume anything. I just find ur build extremely interesting, and would hate portions of your floor to be ruined. Sounds like u got this ! Cheers

don't forget to add an emergency drain for your water heater with a pan most water heaters I deal with catastrophically fail and some damage, not all can be prevented with a pan and drain to the outside also closing off the water heater in its own closet is also an option with a secondary drain with your type of house redundancy will be key I love the progress you guys have made!
