Moving On Pt 1 Exploring Nostalgia By Thomas Sander | Vlog Reaction 

Virgil's voice getting low does have a reason, it was first introduced in the second part of accepting anxiety. When Thomas' anxiety levels (when Virgil gets really anxious and panicked to an extreme) Virgil is at the forefront of Thomas' mind, meaning he's in direct control. When Virgil said no it was because he didn't want to cause them problems by admitting he wasn't doing well but his voice betrayed that. Sadly only Logan noticed because the other sides were wrapped up too closely in nostalgia

A not so brief explanation : as Thomas is a worrier type person (type D personality) he can look back at the past and feel nostalgia but it will cause him to fall into a downwards spiral of anxiety and depression because he believes his past memories are better than his present. He'll be stuck in the past essentially.

thomas actually played JD in a production of heathers! so he has been in some v good musicals.

When you look back on the past you can realize that there were good times and that more will follow at least thats how I saw it But you'd have to watch both episodes before fully grasping the concept

Just to help: Please see that, for this instance, Patton is the one turning into something... concerning. Virgil wasn't getting stronger. He was in fact getting weaker. Instead of inflicting anxiety on others, he is enhancing his own anxiety against his will. Which is normal, except for the fact that he should be doing his job right now and yet he can't freely do so. (Plus, this is Patton's room. The opposite of Logan and the suppressor for Anxiety. How did you even jump to the idea that it was Virgil who was strengthening when he was losing his own reigns on this? It's more like he is being repressed.) Again, this is just to make you aware. I don't have a favorite in Sanders Sides (Though Morality is my head-space BFF), but even I can see that something isn't going right with how nostalgia is taking over. I am a very sentimental person, so I know how this goes. Virgil has the right to be the panicky one now. He's starting to lose any and all sense of control and touch with reality. Like with what happened to Logan. Thus him leaving. A loss of reality. A loss of Logic. While Roman and Pat are distracting Thomas from the bigger picture. Doesn't mean you should be too though. ✌😓💛

After learning more about nostalgia I realized I am the most nostalgic person I know

I love the moment when Logan is the only one to realize that Virgil is having a panic attack. The friendship between this two is really underrated.

If you're going to watch part 2, you need to go in willing to LISTEN and just WATCH. The part 2 to this video is extremely real, and Thomas opens up about something very personal and serious, and while I get the point of reaction videos and the feeling of needing to comment or point out things or talk, this one it's really better if you just watch and not make unnecessary comments. The next video is not necessarily even a happy one; while it has its moments of humor and joy, it's much sadder than happy, and to avoid ruining the feel of the video for yourself or anyone watching, just try to take it as seriously as it's portrayed.

If I may Christene, I’ll try to explain the situation from how I understand it. Thomas is hurting from a broken heart. Logan intended to use nostalgia to reassure Thomas that he will heal from his heartbreak by looking back at his past accomplishments and treasured memories all throughout his life, not just his memories of the relationship. Patan is taking nostalgia in a way that Logan didn’t intend, but they’ll explain what and why in the next part. I hope this helps.

I just wanted to say something! Logan doesn’t understand how emotions work, because of that he thinks that everything can be fixed by being logical, or by logic. That’s why he thinks that by looking back at the good memories it’ll ease any grief or heartbreak, it just seems like the most logical thing to do. But when he realizes that it isn’t really good for Virgil to look back, he slowly begins to realize that not everything can be fixed with logic...

I get what he's saying. I get the same way. When you look back on all the good times, you compare it to how things are now and can't help but go, "back then was so much easier and/or better" and because of that, refuse to move on or continue to move forward with your life. You get stuck in the past and you try to go back. It's hard. Sometimes you have to stop yourself and make yourself to forward.

Part 2 explains it but Guys and Dolls is a musical but this involves the issue. And it has some catchy songs.

As a person who relates to the whole “habitual worrying” thing...you seem very closed minded to this kinds of stuff. I get VERY sad as well as bad anxiety when thinking of nostalgic things. Nostalgia can be a bad thing as much as it can be a good thing- which is basically the moral of what logic was saying

well Thinking back on The Good times TOO MUCH.. Is pretty bad. Admitedly Too much of anything is bad However Lets put it this way. If your in a relationship focusing on The Good can make it last or make you want to improve. After a break up just thinking on The Good times might stop you from letting go. The end of this episode always makes me kind of sad. Logan notices that Virgil isn't doing well, and while he does try to point that out to the others, he very quickly gives up and leaves Virgil to deal with it alone, which probably just heightens his anxiety. Not many notice that but I always feel bad for Virgil in that scene
