This was not a fun process. Lesson learned - the best time to look for apartments in Boston is either in August or June... don't look for apartments in March 😭
Like your presentation of Boston and your thought process on apartment hunting. I do like apartment #18 though....yes, its the brickwork. 🙂 So which of the 20+ apartment did you two final chosen?
I was looking at your video; a lot of the places are brand new construction and remodeled ... simiple straight forward new stuff; what were they asking for? Probably $3500 to $4500 / month?
Yikes! You seem to have a lot of safety concerns and fear for your life. I have lived in different parts of Boston for most of my life, and never ever thought of anywhere as dodgy, or that toothless people were dangerous to me. If you're afraid of living in a relatively low crime city, maybe a city is not for you. Also, not ALL apartments have lead. There are state and city programs that will fund lead paint removal, and buildings that qualify are actually rare in 2024. But as a young person, it's important to go through the motions and learn through your own experiences. You live in the most European of American cities. Beacon Hill has the most expensive real estate in the city. Boston is expensive not only because of what it has to offer, but because of the quality of what it has to offer. Enjoy it while you're here!
Yeah, moving is such hard work, but you and Dionne did a great job on your own finding your new place. ❤❤well done. Excited to see your new place when we visit Boston. Love you both 🥰🥰
