Welcome ! I Moved here from the DMV & I’m originally from NY. It was rough years ago a bit slow but worth it ! No regrets for me & I went ahead and got a house 🏡 & was blessed to be able to afford it on my own. Praying 🙏🏽 your journey continues to be wonderful ❤I moved near the white water center about 12 min from the airport & I love it ! My house is now worth double 💰
@@KayleneRomero-oz7yzI live near the white water center & min away from the airport I would say it’s a nice area . It’s been a lot of people moving here since 2016 & incidents have gone up some but still nice to me .
And don’t spend $2k plus to rent an apartment uptown, you can rent a 4 bdrm house with lots of space for cheaper in steel creek, I’m just sayin, 🤷🏽♂️-“Make a lot of money, but live below your means”😎🤑, you’ll enjoy your money a whole lot better👍🏾🤓, plus you’ll have some left over to invest
I’m so glad I found your video!! I’m also from Delaware and a lot of our sentiments are the same (regarding moving overall and where and how you want to live) You have added to my excitement regarding moving to Charlotte!
I lived in Dover, Delaware for a year as a kid in the first grade. We then moved to Atlanta. I hope to relocate to Charlotte in the next year. I have visited Charlotte like thirteen times since 2018. I fell in love with the city when I first visited the Queen city.
I booked an air bnb for 3 months that's within walking distance to NoDA. I plan to explore where I want to hang my boots. I will also be looking for a church home. So thank you for including some suggestions. I'm excited about embarking into this new chapter and building community. Thanks for the helpful information. This helped me so much and I took notes. ❤️
I love your vibe. I just watched another video that really advised to relocate there. I am so glad your channel came up. I need a change from where I am for many reasons. Charlotte was on my list to move with my husband before he passed away😢. While circumstances have changed I do believe God can work it out in His way on my behalf. I am prayerfully praying for His direction. Although there are some hurdles...I am convinced it will work out.
Thank you so much for this video. My wife and I visited recently and are considering moving to the Charlotte area and finding a good church was one of the top two things on our list. I’ll definitely look into the church you mentioned. Their structure seems similar to our current church.
Found your channel because I'm thinking about moving to Charlotte. Then hearing you talk about Union made me smile. I joined that church not long ago, I go to the Flowers campus.
❤❤ I love this for all of you Charlotte is my hometown and forever will be I think each and every one of you all would love it. it’s definitely a mini Atlanta
Omg this video is for me! I've been wanting to move to Charlotte for years now. I'm always visiting Charlotte and even have a church home when I finally do move there. I'm actually going to Charlotte next month for a few days. I'm hoping to relocate to Charlotte within the coming year. My plan next year is to go house hunting. I'm not sure which part I would move it but I like the city so hopefully some where near uptown Charlotte or even Pineville Charlotte NC 🙏🏿
I’m from New Jersey and my family live in Charlotte so I visited a lot but now that I’m grown and on my own I am ready for me and my children to have better just kind of nervous 😬
Aww I’m glad to hear that!! I don’t have any specific recommendations but I love the area near/around the concord mills mall. Lots of food, stores, still gives suburbs but doesn’t take too long to get to/from the city
BALLENTYNE is where the upper class or rich class live in Charlotte, DO NOT LIVE IN BALLENTYNE, save your money and find areas along 485 beltway that are quiet, have bars , restaurants, supermarkets, schools parks and clubs and housing all in the same area, that way you never have to leave your area, live cheaper and enjoy your money, uptown is too expensive even if you can afford it 🤷🏽♂️, but find areas along the beltway or Gastonia, concord , fort mill, Indian trail etc, even waxhaw(Audrey kell shopping center area). 😎👍🏾
@@jurneethrulife9050 Gastonia has a better school system and is waaay cheaper, about 15 minutes outside of Charlotte, Concord NC right off 485 beltway same distance, Pineville NC , same distance fort mill SC, Trga Cay, SC that's 15 minutes from 485 beltway on the SC side, lake Norman area north of the 485 belt way, Indian trail NC (15 minutes east) and Monroe NC (30 minutes east) are east of the beltway, Mooresville NC is 30 minutes north, shopton NC is west of the beltway, Steele creek area is southwest right on the beltway , Denver NC is northwest of the beltway, bout 20 minutes,
@@jurneethrulife9050 im originally from Charlotte, people say they don't see us alot but that's because we live in the parts of the city or surrounding places where you don't have to leave your area because everything is right there where your at, most of the people living near uptown are from other places and are paying waaay to much money in my opinion lol 😂, but I get it that the experience is great but if you have kids your gonna want to be somewhere more affordable and less busy and a have a better school. 🤷🏽♂️ And areas where you see a heavy police presence are probably not good areas, it may look like a good area but if you notice police everywhere patroling it's most definitely a "Active" area meaning high crime in those areas
Lmao now why would u advise someone to move to the Gas house aka Gastonia … awful schools, trailer park central, meth head’s EVERYWHERE, racist ass police, and you 100% will get robbed if you don’t keep ur head on a swivel, cartel stash houses every 5 miles. I’d stay far away from there anyone reading this
Thank you. For your channel. Baby girl when I saw your title. I said oh. I didn't need to see this because that's my chosen destination to move. I'm from Connecticut so I know the abnormal thing that you're talking about Delaware and Jersey. However, I'm down in North Carolina with my mom temporarily until I get my home and Charlotte. Can you tell me what is the safest place for my husband and I to live? I kind of wanna be able to go outside and walk my dog at night dogs. I also carry, so I'm not trying to handle issues. And I don't want to ever have to use my weapon, but that's why you don't move to areas where you might have to help assistablish am I do? I'm 61st time moving away from my family. Khan's about moving away, is I miss my grandbaby's all 4 of them. Plus it plus is finally getting my mind right and living for myself and not everybody else. Oh, it also about the churches. I need a good church, says handcuff. Foot stomping praise and deliver delivering. Tong talking lane of hands on type of church
I lived in the Ballantyne Commons area about 20 years ago. Moved from Philly. It was beautiful but the job market in Charlotte was horrible. I hope that's changed.
This video helped me so much I literally just came back from charolette, nc to tour some apartments I fell in love with mecklenberg county, we will be back soon to decide❤
I’m so happy to hear that!! I really hoped this video would help others looking to move here so that means a lot. Glad that you visited and good luck with making your decision when you come back! 🙂
I am looking to move from Los Angeles as a single woman who loves nature, animals, and wants to meet my partner. Where are some desirable cities to live in?
Have you moved to Charlotte yet? I’ve been considering that city, but I’m so used to larger cities. So I’m not sure. Especially since I had lived in LA for 6 years, and Washington DC for the rest of my life.
I’ve learned that Charlotte is what you make it, but there’s definitely something for everybody. There are things happening all of the time, just depends on your interest or looking into things that you like
