Make the move Burneisha. Im glad I made the move. I actually made the move a couple of times. I've left and always have come back! Charlotte is a great city and offers a lot.
Brother, this is one of the best videos I've watched from you and fellow real estate folks in the CLT. Very well done, sir! I am selling my house in Atlanta and I'm moving to either Charlotte or Greenville, SC (not NC). When I am sure about moving to CLT, I'll reach out to your company/agency to set up an appointment with you all. Continue to be blessed.
Coming soon, 3 bedroom 2.5 bath large corner lot with irrigation system and privacy fenced in backyard 2 car garage 4 miles from Lake Wylie, 9 miles from the airport and 12 miles from Uptown. Fantastic neighbors and very safe neighborhood.
Yes, the first two you answered are my top two questions. Thank you for the information! I grew up mostly in the north in a very diverse place, and I believe this experience has helped me as an adult.
That's just common sense to LOCK YOUR DOORS!! I'm from NY as well and no we don't shut down with a few flakes of snow. If you're not in California, you haven't felt an Earthquake.
Food is life!! Currently living in a small town and all the restaurants are stuck in the 80's or older. Nothing to look forward to. Sizzler anyone? Can't wait to leave and explore Carolina food!
Here's a question: On a scale of 1-10, how "healthy" would you say Charlotte is? Are a lot of people outdoors hiking, biking, running, walking their dogs, etc.; are there lots of healthy eating options (vegetarian, or non-fast food etc); is smoking in public areas permitted?
I would say it's a 7. Tons of trails parks and greens ways for walking, biking, running. The white water center is an amazing spot and has a little bit of everything. In terms of food options, it has gotten drastically better in the past 5 years. It's still growing but you now have vegan and vegetarian options around town.
If your in Charlotte, you can drive to Albemarle NC about an hour away and hike on Morrow mountain, it has boating on lake Tillary, and different hiking trails from easy to hard
We have more ice than snow. Nobody is very good driving on ice. As far as hurricanes Hugo made me a believer. I've been in Charlotte since 1963. Seems like our summers are getting hotter. NC has the best Eastern style BBQ. We don't have enough affordable housing which is a big issue. I own my home but I would like to see Charlotte improve on that issue. All and all I'm a Charlotte native I'm satisfied here. Charlotte does need to improve on some important issues.
Hey Sir! This was a nice video. How are the "critters" in Charlotte? I heard (and read) that the Southeastern portion of the country generally has significant issues with bugs/spiders (and snakes). Does Charlotte have an issue with cockroaches, particularly those flying "Palmetto" bugs that are a couple inches long? The only "Southern" city I lived in was Washington, DC (back in 2007...and I was primarily in NOVA.) Honestly, one of the main reasons why I've pretty much avoided the SE region of the country is due to the bugs/spiders. I've also been looking at Houston, TX, and unfortunately Houston (and the entire state of Texas) has a significant bug issue. I know Florida has a major bug issue as well. I heard Charlotte might have an issue with critters.
Hey Ridley, We do not have a significant issue with any bugs or spiders. Also, I know exactly what bug you're referring to. In my experience here in Charlotte, I, nor anyone I've known, ever dealt with those palmetto bugs here. Snakes are common depending on where you live in the area. However, most area harmless. Fire ants are very common here as well as Japanese beetles. But simple traps for the Japanese beetles will solve that problem. I still haven't found a suitable solution for the fire ants though.
I have no schooling and I’m tired of struggling up in MI and living with these cold winters. All I’ll really need is find a entry level job and I’m out of here. I refuse to sign another lease up here!!
Having grown up in Upstate NY I know what it's like being fed up with cold winters. The job market here is very good. It did slow up a bit because everything was shut down but the job market has picked up a bit.
@Ashley rose Find an apprenticeship program that pays while you learn. Electrician, carpenter, etc. You will not struggle if you learn a trade. There will always be employment for you for the rest of your life. Think outside of the box and something will speak to you. If you don't have a marketable skill, you will struggle for the rest of your life. No matter where you live.
Legit video, get the good up man! My and my family will perhaps relocate to Charlotte from Sweden (Northern Europe) the coming fall 2021 but at the moment there is a travel ban. My question is when you think traveling will be allowed again to the US. Best regards
I’m planning to move with my daughter my biggest issue is day care !! Any tips ? Little background I’m from upstate , New York and it’s snowing already ugh anyway love your videos!
Hello Tamairah, Charlotte has some great daycares. The cost of them are relative. I’ve seen anywhere from $150-300/week, which I thought was CRAZY high but after talking to friends in DC and California, I realized that prices here are much better then the $500/week they were paying. (I’m sure you can find less expensive ones but that has been my experience). Also, thank you for watching! You’d be surprised by how many of us Upstate New Yorkers now call Charlotte home. I dont miss the months of snow. Come on down!
GREAT !!!!! VIDEO 👍 👍 👍 I'm thinking of Moving from NYC to NC Charlotte. Just to confirm Lol so for natural disaster ( hurricanes , tornadoes ) in Charlotte NC its usually never anything serious ???
Been trying to move to Raleigh Nc from MN, the price's in Raleigh is expensive like the twin cities. My family and I want a change my husband And I bones cannot tolerate winters anymore. I believe I tried contacting you last spring.
My family and I Been looking to move to Raleigh! We’re nurses and heard the medical is amazing there and wanted to start a business . But is it a great city to raise our daughter ? We’re from Ohio so the weather is another reason to move there as well.
Very good question Felicia. Short answer: Not all real estate agents advise and advocate properly for their clients and I provide the traditional services of a real estate agent in addition to advising and advocating for them. I'm a licensed Real Estate agent in NC & SC but refer to myself as a real estate advisor because in addition to being a real estate agent, I'm also a real estate coach and show people how to invest in real estate. I also practiced real estate law in the past so I'm in a unique position to know all steps in the real estate process.
@@advisorSirAshley this is the video I need I’m moving in the next month with my husband and sons and it’s been hard to find a place with a good school district
Because flooding is not a big problem on a large scale. Yes, one may need flood insurance in certain areas. If you’re concerned about flooding, I say check out the US flood map on FEMA’s site.
