@@iiAngelic well, they give you money so that you can live, but doesn't necessarily pay your rent (I think it's like that, I don't go to uni yet but I live in Denmark-)
I've been planning to move to CPH for the past 4 years (from London) but this video fully solidified my decision!! Now all I need to do is learn danish and wait for coronavirus to disappear lol thank you for this vid - you've gained a new subscriber!
Unless you're planning to do a bachelors degree in Copenhagen, you don't need to know Danish before you move. Everyone speaks english more or less fluently, and it's a notoriously hard language to learn to pronounce, so it's usually better to just move and learn the language as you go
@Rita Cruz It depends on what you want from the language. A lot of rules and regulations will only be posted in Danish, so being able to read those beforehand, might be a good idea. But reading Danish is a lot easier than speaking it. If you want to be proficient at speaking danish, it will require a lot of effort, but I don't really think you would need to be able to do that before you go. Unless it is in january, when Bella advises you to look for a community to get you through the grim dark of winter. With regards to jobs, it depends a lot on which industry you are looking in. Also the whole coronavirus situation has caused some upset in the job-market. Just finding *a* job should be fairly doable.
Oh god the part about the jan-march period is so true! I even grew up in Denmark, but then I lived abroad for a handful of years, and after coming back, winter depression hits me like a sledgehammer every time.
I lived in Copenhagen for 3 years and LOVED it! The Danes aren’t friendly but very nice if they’re engaged. I’d still live there if it wasn’t for the taxes! It was so hygge.
Yeah, I will go to Copenhagen in around 5 years after my Chinese wife have gotten her Swedish citizenship. :-) great view count my friend. But now I am personally busy with my master's program in cross-cultural studies at KU. :-D
Yeah... So I'm danish but id rather talk to people at a bus stop than have a person punch me in my head. But it's still awkward when you don't know the people. But we don't really think that much about it.
Hi Bella . Thanks for your good videos. I'm sorry , I live in Iran. I'm 31 and single . I'm Forklift driver and also a truck and bus driver . I don't have English certificate but I can speak and read and write english well. My university degree is bachelor. It's my dream to marry with a Danish lady and live in Denmark. Is it possible ? How can I emigrate to Denmark? Please help me . Thanks again
Great video, but I think Black people may be surprised by the level of racial tension in Sweden- coming from the US, I was really surprised at how much my time in Sweden felt like being in a Suburban US town with a small Black population. I took a small break in my amazing Denmark trip and went to Sweden (Malmo, Gothenburg and Stockholm) on a whim and lived to regret it. I would have been better off just staying in Denmark. Was very surprised the level of low key racism in Malmo and Gothenburg. Didn’t notice it in Stockholm, but by the time I got there my Swedish experience had already been tainted. I’ve traveled all around the Danish mainland and did not Pick up racist vibes at all. People mainly mind their own business in a pleasant way. Can’t wait to return to Copenhagen.
Hi! thank you for your awesome video!! is it possible to study full-time and work at the same time?? I am thinking of doing a masters program at the university of Copenhagen... thank you!!
what an excellent question! i volunteer at sjællandsgade bade in nørrebro, i would really look into it because it's such a wholesome community. if you go onto their website, you can find the section where you can apply to volunteer! obviously it's shut down now pga. corona, but you i would deffo get in touch! if you have any more questions about my experience there, you can dm on instagram! :)
No-it is free. But you hve to pay for anything else yourself. A room probl 4000 Dkr a month 1 us = 6,6 Dkr aprox. makes 600 us for room ?- ore may bee more until you find a cheaper one. Books -on your own expence
Denmark is very good country but many gays live there..I lived in Denmark for 7 years.. almost all Danish men are gay and Danish women support their gay partner.. secret gay you know
