I'm from BC and currently visiting Costa Rica for 2 months while working online as well. Really cool to see others doing the same and moving permanently!
It’s always good to know about people getting happier and have more tine for the kids and themselves. I missed my little and beautiful Costa Rica. Wishing you guys lots of love, good vibes and blessings! Pura Vida 🌈🌞🌴✌️
Thank you for this , I have been drawn to Costa Rica for many years now though I have never been, I’m now in a place in my life where I would love to have a small business there like a boutique hotel , thank you for your insight and enthusiasm it is so encouraging for me , we too moved from Alberta to BC and we are ready to exit Canada , BC has been quite discouraging we are ready for a change 😍
OMG I lived in paradise and didn't know. I'm from CR. If you need anything let me know. There are very expensive supermarkets in that area. You can go to Walmart in Liberia to find everything cheaper.
Costa Rica is expensive compared to the rest of Latin America, so I would recommend to find a cheap supermarket chain like "Mas x Menos" or even Walmart, some chains are way more expensive here, do your research on that. And buy your fruits and vegetables at a farmer's market. If you're eating out you could look for a local "soda" where you can eat for $6 instead of paying $30+ per person at a restaurant every time. Also running the AC too much will make your power bill go to the sky. Keep an eye on those things so you won't run away from here saying is too expensive to live in.
If you are into nightlife such as clubbing or late nights in general, Costa Rica may not be the best destination for you. Most bars at resorts close by 10pm and most public bars close by midnight unless you are staying in places such as Tamarindo, San Jose, Puerto Viejo or Jaco.
Hey I’m exited for you guys. We are planing same thing for next year. We are from Toronto and have friends from Alberta who moved there and been there for 4 years with two kids. question ?? You’ve mention a few times during the video your own business, what is it you’re going to be doing online or what is it that you do right now that be great to know as digital nomads. Thanks and the best to you guys.
Malade!! Heureux de vous découvrir. Aller vivre au CR est un rêve pour nous aussi. On va vous suivre !!!! Et utiliser vos conseils !! On retourne pour une troisième fois en juillet !
If you're considering another new born. Consider having it in C.R. or other country of choice. You will gain permanent residency. Good luck. God bless.
So lovely to see this video and meet your family! I'm a Canadian that is going to the Puntarenas area to stay at a friends place for 6 weeks to see how I feel about buying property there in the mountains. Have vacationed there many times but first time on my own this year. Very excited about what the future holds and can totally relate to what you said about feeling differently about life/desires post pandemic. Congrats on making the move and hope I won't be far behind you!
@@LimeRickey71 it is 25 to 35 here right at the coast..ten degrees cooler than Western Australia, so I like it. The elevations ten minutes back from the beach are cooler
