it depends on which area of the city you live. I paid 1000 euro per month for a studio apartment by myself and it was in the middle of Milan. But you can also get a room for between 400-700 euro per month if you live a bit further out :)
what university are you at/ what are you studying ? do you know any italian? just curious because i’m wanting to go to university in milan and don’t know italian😆
