Hi, to your information, Switzerland has no capital city! Really!!!! Bern is only the sit of the Swiss government! In Switzerland we have 26 capital cities, every Kanton has one and Bern is also one of them! This is because Switzerland is a fusion of 26 very small Country's.
How do you move to Switzerland. Do you need to have a college degree? Can you do military service to join Switzerland? Do you have to have a years of work experience? How do you even apply to live in Switzerland?
you cant say that they have to spend more on education based only on the Pisa test... 1) it is quite inaccurate 2) if you know anything about the Swiss education system you know that it is crazy competitive and formes some of the most highly educated and capable workers in the world, without mentioning that education is not an objective and scalable subject nor is it only for the sake of ranking higher on tests, the fact that the general lifestyle, income and overall economy of the country are the way they are is a much better indicator for the quality of education in a country than a bloody test mate 3) Unlike Germany that is rapidly and wrongly socializing its ways Switzerland does not do this, they invest publicly in what's truly needed and the rest is up to the citizen, why on earth do you think that income tax is lower...why on earth would they want to increase the fiscal pressure on themselves for something as vain as an inaccurate and flawed ranking system? suggesting that they need to increase public spending in something on what they already excel based on a generic and standardize test system that in no way shows the full picture makes no sense, it would only lead to unnecessarily higher taxes, the growth of the public sector which takes much more than it gives from the taxpaying citizens and the loss of the marvelous swiss freedom to allocate most of your money to what you truly want or need
Thank you for your comment. I know that just focusing on the PISA test is wrong. Hoever spending more in education (and infrastructure) is good most of the time. I'm not saying we should increase taxes, but rather distribute taxes differently. By the way I'm Swiss too :)
@@MovingAbroad the thing is that for increasing public spending in one sector you need to decrease it in another, as the economy is the art of managing limited goods. If the people decided to defund or eliminate another publicly funded activity and repurpose that money for education then it could happen without increasing the fiscal pressure, but of course, it would have to be done during the next budget allocation session in congress as moving already allocated funds to something else in another way would constitute the crime of public fund malversation (unterschlagung).
Zürich is the best for foreigners in my opinion. Or any big city here. On my way to uni I always hear foreigners speak English with colleagues on their phones, so I suppose if they can, you can. Also u said u know German, so it’s perfect. Don‘t go near the Langstrasse, ppl are weird there. Altstetten is for ppl who earn a bit less than the average Zürich living person lol, so maybe for the beginning you could go there and get settled in first. Good luck
For a country that is prosperous and thriving and that has seen its already dense population grow from 4.5 Million to an even denser 8.6 Million in just 40 years, why should the Swiss want to make it easier for foreigners to move to Switzerland? The enormous and outsized growth of the population relative to all other countries in Europe seems to indicate that it is already TOO easy for foreigners to move there. It's obvious why so many foreigners want to move to one of the most beautiful, prosperous, safe and healthy countries in the world. But what do the Swiss have to gain from the ever growing, foreign population, other than just having to build more infrastructure to accomodate the ever growing population, along with the imported "cultural" issues?
I 100% agree with you.. the thing that annoys me is whenever you say something like that people say its racist.. i am swiss and born here and also one shocking thing is the %of foreign people in prisons its sth like 80%.. anyways i have no issues with foreigners but im also worrying about overpopulation
@@luch9813 Usually it's a specific type of person that tries to "use" the R-word to make their "point". This is mostly a strong signal they are not adequately equipped to utilize actual facts and logic to argue their position, so it's exactly where the discussion needs to be (like above). It seems most people don't want to go through the trouble of getting their facts straight. Most even outright AVOID actual information, as it seems to be a hassle to deal with it. I have a suspicion THAT's often why they try to use the "R" word - they hope to cancel the other argument without having to deal with facts and logic. Including links to reputable sites where primary information is expanded (the highly transparent Swiss government publishes more statistical information than any other country I know!), also seems to nicely dampen the appetite of many cancel-culture-artists, activists and trolls before they even start typing nonsense. In addition, the Swiss are notorious for being fiercly independent and willing to fight for their independence - they should live up to that hard earned reputation built over tha past 730 years!
@@luch9813 Absolutely! Controlled and guided immigration by the sovereign is fine, good and healthy for every country. But uncontrolled, excessive and ideologically driven flooding with illegal immigrants by using the "Open Borders" doctrine as a means to circumvent democracy AND breaking all applicable immigration laws (Shengen, Dublin accord) is apalling - and is essentially what the EU has been doing with the secretive financing by leftie Soros and his ilk in dark, back-room channels for YEARS! This glaringly anti-democratic approach and its proponents have no place in Switzerland and must be kept out of the country at all cost. Thank goodness the rest of the Swiss that didn't already vote for NOT joining the EEA (and thus the EU) in 1992 have realized since then just how close they came to joining this anti-democratic sh_tshow and how glad they can be to have remained independent.
So after 10 years you can apply for citizenship then when you get citizenship you get also the passport, because I read somewhere that only the third generation gets passport
@@MovingAbroad so if I move from france in Switzerland I need to live in Switzerland for 10 years to get citizenship or 5 years then get C permenant residents then another 10 year with c permenant for citizenship, complet 15 years
First of all, should be 12 years for citizenship, and like here in ticino you need to be here 5 years in the canton, of these 12, and 3 years in the same council, 12 years can be discontinued, because first you will be citizen of the council, after of canton and at the end you going to receive the answer from the confederation and this will give you the passport and id😂😂 it will cost between 2500 sfr up to 3000 in the south but can be variable fom Canton 👋👋🇨🇭🇨🇭👍👍
I am 19 and British and I want to move to Switzerland and work there, what jobs are available and what skills and experience and qualifications are required, right now I have only got a business administration level 1 working towards level 2 but i was set back due to Covid-19, what or qualifications should I work towards and get my goal is to get as many qualifications as possible, but I don’t know which ones would help me get a job is Switzerland what should I do?
If you are doing through a college degree, the best you could do is to finish it and get some internship which will allow you to get some experience. Once you have some experience and you know at least one of the required languages (french/german/Italian) you might look for a job online. Being honest, it's also my goal to get a job there, but first I need to start and finish my university degree (probably International Relations), then a Master after which I would look for any internship abroad (maybe in France), so I can get some experience + learn the language (well, technically just improve it and get fluent). Only AFTER THAT I might look for a job online since as I am concerned, it's not that easy to find a job there. Maybe you could apply without all of that, looking for a smaller job, but you will need , as I said, at least one language you are fluent in from Switzerland area.
Switzerland doesn’t need to have more people moving here. The country is too small to keep sticking more people into it. We have enough people here already. I don’t want my country to be overbuilt with apartment blocks because too many people flood in. I want to enjoy the greenery, not look at concrete. I don’t want to shop in Germany, i want the money to stay in my country. The only ones who want people to come here are the people who have businesses who want cheaper labour or politicians who don’t care enough about their own country (the socialists, amongst some). In 2021 we have about 29% of our population being foreign, too high for me, and higher than most European countries.

you cant live with 2.900 Eu in Switzerland.... I mean you could but you need 2.300 just to survive, so an extra 600 on that is not going to help you a lot...
Just so people dont get the wrong impression. Zürich might be as expensive as Paris if not more expensive. But overall rent Switzerland is a lot cheaper than Paris
I am British 19 and I want to move to Switzerland and start a life there my cousin moved there and lives in Basel, I want to move somewhere nice in Switzerland as well, admittedly I don’t have all my Qualifications I am trying to get as many as I can, don’t know a lot about Switzerland or if I would be welcome there and if anyone would employ me, but I want to move there and start a life, what would I need to do in order to move to Switzerland ?
If you move from a country in the Schengen area, it is actually quite simple. When I was helping our new german employee to get the permit, it only took 2 weeks for everything to be settled. You just need to look for a job first and then apply for the permit, usually your employer would help you in the process.
I took the risk dealing with Luiz to be in charge of my trade and finally end up with perfect testimony.his platform is amazing and very straightforward
I'll soon upload a video regarding this😃 The title will be "14 reasons for Switzerland", there I'll say which industries are the strongest in Switzerland. Stay tuned 🙂
