I think you covered the section about Katie perfectly. You’re meant to be a role model for her as a sister, not a carer. The more we coddle people with disabilities or vulnerabilities the more we stop them from developing themselves. Katie’s a grown woman and deserves to be treated that way. You’re right to be able to live your life while caring for her as a sister IMO
I have a disability i have 22q11 deletie syndrome, and i am a heart patient , My mum is my carer but also my best friend, and she doesn’t have her mum anymore and you can’t let people with disabilities let do everything on there own, some can’t some can, Yes she is a grown woman i am to, But i still need help with alot of things cause i can’t do them myself you may not understand it , but my sister helps out aswell sometimes, But yes Katie deserves to life a live as a grown woman but not alone she needs help sometimes with things😊 I don’t want to discuss or anything but that’s how i see this comment
I have 2 carers 24 7! I’ve got learning difficulties & mental illness. Some people can do everything on there own, some can do somethings alone & need help with others & some people can’t do anything alone. You could look at me in the street & thikk there’s nothing wrong. You can look at someone else in the street & see there’s something wrong yet they might not have as many struggles as the person that looks like there’s nothing wrong. But Elle isn’t her career you are right, & Katie seems like she can do enough on her own & enjoys the freedom & independence so it’s fine. Elle is still young she needs to grab her dream before it’s too late ⏰ 💖🙏
@@MrsdumeeI worked with a baby who had 22q10 deletion syndrome, she couldn’t cry, she couldn’t talk and they thought she’d never be able to walk. With so much support she started walking and uses an ACC to talk. By giving her support and not doing everything for her she’s developed so much! She’s now about 5/6 years old and she amazes me with how well she’s doing. She’s a sassy little girl with an amazing personality.
Why do I feel like I’m going to miss you?! 😢 even though you’re still here, with us!!! And better yet, taking us to the USA!! 🥰✨🇺🇸 enjoy this dream of yours boo!!!! Xxxx
I feel the exact same and can't even explain why 🙈 I think its because we know she'll no longer be a couple hours away but she'll never be without her British tea and biscuits which makes me feel better 😂🤍

What a wake up call moment for me: “if mum had known she would die at 54 she would have lived her life differently” - such a powerful sentiment 😢 it takes so much courage to do what you’re doing. I have a lot of admiration for you both ❤ only good things lie ahead!
US Visa rules are extremely strict and I wish you gave more info about why you were eligible. I imagine it’s because of your online career/income, but this isn’t realistic for the vast majority of British people, including skilled workers (it’s not the same as moving to Australia or even Canada)
Yes , I am interested in what category of visa they were eligible for . I am married to a U.S. citizen and was shocked at the very long very expensive process it was .
Loads of luck to you all. I lived in America for a year 30 years ago and took our dog out there too. Katie will be fine and all those great holidays she will have out there for you. After all your planning and dreams, just remember if you don’t like it then it’s simple, you come home…..nothing lost xx

I vote texas! Much more for ur money, bigger sized houses and yards, loads of space in general and more family orientated. Excited to see the vlogs of the whole process!

Question: Have you pre-arranged your family's plan for healthcare, dental care, and pet care insurance coverage before leaving the UK for the USA? Also, auto insurance is required to drive in the USA. 100% recommend moving to Texas. Connor is right in property and tax. Also, make sure you are very aware of politics in California. It is VERY different from living in Texas. Politics is a huge factor in America and definitely be aware of that before moving. You can always visit California on vacation! But for settling in and purchasing a home, Texas is definitely the winner. Also the food is just *chefs kiss* 🙌🏼
Texan politics are the worst lol I would never recommend anyone move to Texas. Not to mention all the hurricane prone areas in the south of Texas, the heat, etc.
OMG guys it's going to be such a special moment when you finally pick up Herbie and Heccy from the airport. It will the ALL be worth it.. you will feel COMPLETE. SO excited for this moment and all the other amazing moments to come for you all :)
As an American from the Midwest that regularly uses “yall”, you and Con’s country accent gives me such a chuckle! So excited for yall and welcome to the USA✨ congrats angels

We moved from Australia to Canada. 14 hour flight for the dogs with a flight change from Vancouver to Toronto … another 5 hour flight. And they were so fine and excited to be there! The airlines took such good care of them.
So happy for you both - make sure you sign up for health insurance, but shop around. A lot of businesses offer health insurance to their employees. San Diego is amazing but housing is expensive but super duper dog friendly, Houston you have to think of the storms that blow through & having to migrate north when they do with everything you want to save and get BRUTALLY hot but WAY more affordable for housing. Lived in Dallas for awhile and would get tornado warnings, torrential rains etc....
I moved from the UK to Dallas Texas almost 5 years ago now and it was the best decision I ever made. Texas is a lot cheaper and it’s easy to fly to so many places too!
I’m 24 and still dreaming about Australia, so happy for you both, you’re glowing with excitement! Also, not just a food TikTok but I think Con should do an American food challenge omg! xx
Wow amazing!! Thanks to you we decided our relocation needed to happen now too and have estate agents coming to see us this afternoon! Exciting times 😍❤️
no income tax in texas, Cali is most expensive state to live in taxes wise... and living expenses . Do you want more money? you could always just vacation to cali...with the money you save,....
Every time I visit the Uk I buy loads of Cadbury’s chocolate…Be warned, when you see Cadbury’s in America, it is not the same..it’s awful. And if you want good sweet biscuits, get them sent from the Uk.

So excited for you guys and cannot wait for all the amazing US vlogs to come I've always had a love for America can't wait to see what you get up to it's going to be unreal lots of love ❤️❤️

US follower here 🇺🇸 can’t wait to watch your journey. You definitely will get more bang for your buck in Texas. I feel like California is a better place to keep to visit than it is to live.
Just be wary of snakes in your back yard with the dogs and children- Texas has over 105 different species - including rattle snakes. California only has 33 - again including rattle snakes.

I might have missed this but what kind of visa did you get? i heard it's extremely difficult to move to the USA, as in you have to be a skilled worker for example. What will you be doing for jobs etc.? Also what happens with healthcare over there?
I watched Holly Brooks who’s also an influencer move over to LA. She actually said as part of her visa process they look at the number of followers you have so I think if you’re well established on social media they let you in? Or maybe there’s one for self employed people
You should get a house in Texas and save up for a little beach house in cali as my sister done what you did when I was 1 and moved to ny! She now lives in philidelphia with her husband and dog but they also have a beach house by the beach in New Jersey so you can move between in the summer or for the weekend and get best of both worlds. Or say you only wanted the “beach house” for summer rent it out as an airbnb when you’re not using it to cover the costs for it? Xxxx
I'm with Connor - big house in Texas. Visit California for holidays, the earth quakes and crime would put me off living there, plus Christian and Heidi are in texts, some good youtubers Michelle Reed, Brittany Dawn, good churches - Joel Osteen at Lakewood in Houston and some good gyms. Where in Texas are you think8ng?
This is such a huge opportunity for not just you guys but your boys too. Whether you end up living there forever or coming back within the year, the memories alone that you will experience with your beautiful boys will make every second of it worth it. You’ve been through so much Elle and have had so much personal growth through grief and other learnings and this really does feel like the perfect reward for making it through. Not just making it through but doing it with such grace and whilst also learning to be a Mum. I’m just a stranger but I’m SO proud of you. Truly x
I have lived all over the place in the US 🇺🇸 and I truly think you can’t go wrong! California is beautiful and you are never far from a beach, mountain, desert etc it’s very travel-able to other locations too like Arizona and Utah. Healthy lifestyle and the restaurants are amazing Unfortunately we moved out of there a few years ago during the pandemic and it hasn’t ever been the same 😢 San Diego and LA downtown feel a bit unsafe now comparatively especially with little babies. Texas is amazing and has grown so much in the past few years - especially Dallas and Austin! A lot of CA people have moved there so it has a lot of similarities plus the better taxes and property pricing, land, freedom and southern charm. I would also highly suggest looking at Nashville, TN! Very similar but the taxes are even less and you’re close to the mountains, lakes, beautiful rolling hills and nature. Either way best of luck on your journey! 🇺🇸🙏🏼 wishing your beautiful family a smooth transition!
I wish the best of luck for the both of you, you won’t know until you try. I lived in America for three years when I was 21, it didn’t work for me and I missed the UK terribly. I think I felt quite lonely but that’s not to say you will feel the same. There is also the thing of expensive medical insurance and the primary reason I would never live in Texas is the gun laws. Not to put you off I just hope you’ve considered all of these things and I wish you nothing but luck.
Wishing you well for the American dream. Would definitely watch food reviews, the whole British living in America content. You could rent a RV and do a road trip holiday.
I for one is honored Elle's That you and Conner picked The America 🇺🇸 to move to My dream is to one day meet You both your so lovely 😍 Sending biggest hugs ever From California Angel 🍹🏖
Thank you so much for this informative and exciting video! I've always wanted to move to the US. I can really relate to what you say with regards to the US "feeling like home" ❤ I'm a single parent, I've recently sold my house and I'm a therapist in the UK. Have you got any helpful tips or advice for me regarding the immigration process please? I've done a lot of research myself but il be doing it on my own so the process seems extremely daunting!! Xxx
Elle, you are going to want all four seasons. You will not get that in those locations. The north east has the most beautiful four seasons, and houses with yards, beaches, lakes, snow, fall, mountains etc.
Me and my partner have moved from the UK to Dubai and have been here almost a year now! Its the best decision we have ever made and i relate to these videos so much💓 Go chase your dreams, I cant wait to watch xoxo
There's a national retailer in the US called World Market and they sell lots of UK chocolates and other treats. You can find Cadbury at most grocery stores too!

Best of luck on your new journey!! Follow your dreams and live your best life! Must admit… I’m with Con on Texas! 😅 can’t wait to share this journey with you! I weirdly feel like I’m going to miss you knowing you’re the other side of the world! But I know you’ll always be a tea and biscuit British girlie at heart xxx
I really get the feeling that Texas is going to be your place!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 best wishes to you all, keep safe and enjoy. Can’t wait to see your adventure! 💙❤️

Why do I feel I'm losing a friend and don't want you to go but it's your ĺife, do what makes you happy guys but will miss you being in bath ,good luck ❤
So excited for all the firsts in America, I’m here for it all , and Thanku for taking us on your journey and showing us the American way I can’t wait 🎊 🎉❤❤❤
Exciting! I live in Houston, TX and I've always loved it here. And surprisingly, over just this past year, I've found myself living next door to a lot of influencers! I just rented a home and literally found it last Saturday and signed the lease the next day. The real estate market is crazy here, but so excited for you all and whatever you decide!
Sending you all the love and support in the world!! Having previously lived in Bakersfield CA as a child in the 90s, (I loved it), just got to go with your heart and follow your dreams xxx
I was that excited hearing you speak about this that I felt like I was coming with you 🤗 You're so brave to be making this move and living out your dream 🇺🇸 xx

I wonder when Connor will step up and become a good rolemodell to his boys by starting to work and provide for his family ? Am i the only one that find this behavour strange i mean he is 30 years old
Hey!! Which visa did you apply for? It's been mine and my husband's goal to move to the US too! (from the UK) We almost got a sponsored visa through work in 2019 but then 2020 threw it all down the drain 😓
I’m am so incredibly happy for you and your family!! Like you mentioned in the video, life is so unbelievably short and we should all try to aim make memories of a lifetime. Can’t wait for all the America vlogs!!🇺🇸
Good Luck in your journey! Im married to my American Husband and now have my little boy, lived in the US for 2 and half years but came back to UK since missing family, it wasn't the same for me. Hope it all goes well.☺
How have you been able to move there? I thought you had to have a work sponsor, or be marrying someone who already lives there?? Sorry if I missed this in your video xx
Elle I've followed you for years now and I just want to say I LOVE that you are chasing your dream for you and your family. I'm quite similar in that my Mum died...and I am sooooo close with my sisters. But I had this ITCH to get out of the UK. And I did it. I've now lived in Hong Kong for 6 years and honestly feel like I'm living my dream. The novelty has NEVER worn off. I wake up every day and look out my window and think...wow...I LIVE HERE! I wish you nothing but the same for you in America. Are there days where I miss my family so much it hurts? Yes. Do I get riddled with guilt on special occasions and birthdays that I constantly miss? Yes. Do I sometimes overthink if I'm being too selfish and made the wrong choice? Yes. Do I feel I've left my family behind? Yes. Do they miss me so much and always hope I return one day? Yes. Do I sometimes think about moving back? Yes. Of course you will have those feelings too, but at the end of the day...we have one life and we have to live it for ourselves. Life is way too short to not go after what you want! And lucky for us, planes were invented! :) Have an amazing time - gut instinct is always right.

So happy for you Elle and the family. Covered leaving Katie perfectly. If you can follow your dreams you should absolutely do that!! Sending love and good luck can't wait for the vlogs ❤❤
So excited for your family! Welcome to the United States! ❤ There is a store called World Market - it’s very cute, they have furniture, home decor *and* international chocolates and treats. I know I’ve seen Cadbury there. Not sure if it’s the exact same but I’ve seen it!! Just checked and they have them in both the San diego area and houston. Have a safe trip and congratulations!!
I live in Utah, so if y'all come up, you and your pups are welcome here :) I have 2 dogs and am 30 minutes from the ski slopes. GREAT place for kids here, so so so many families.
