Moving to Weatherford, Texas 

I just moved to Weatherford from Atlanta a couple weeks ago, and so far, it's been a great experience.

We moved to Weatherford from Florida last May. I have yet to run into a single rude person. Southern hospitality is a real thing here.

Wow, what growth. I lived in Weatherford in the 1980's and owned the building at the corner of York and W. Spring and had my business there at that time. Thanks for letting me enjoy some great old memories, I do miss Weatherford

Yes, the city is beautiful, and the entire state is beautiful. Few people know that the Weatherford area is large producer of peaches and has been dubbed the " Peach Capitol of Texas" The peach is celebrated every year at the Parker County Peach festival, which she the biggest in Weatherford and one of the most visited festivals in Texas. Been here 28 years. Love Weatherford. But the traffic is an absolute nightmare!

Do not drink the water, get only bottled water. And most of the eating establishments do not have bottled water therefore the tea and fountain sodas are horrible. The water comes from the lake and during the summer and the winter the algae in the lake blooms and the water which is never good becomes horrible. It tastes like it is directly from the lake. I live in th next town and just a few sips of tea, fountain soda, or just filtered water there has me in the bathroom within 30 minutes. But I still forget and order a tea lol. I like it there but would invest heavily in the very best water purification system money could buy if I were to move there or use only large bottles of water from elsewhere for all cooking, drinking, and such. I'd be afraid to even wash my dishes in the Weatherford water.

Weatherford is one of the best places in Texas! However, entirely TOO MANY people have already moved to Parker County! I’ve been here 9 years and I’m leaving in August.

I was surprised how nice and quaint Weatherford is. I had passed by there 20+ yrs ago but never drove deep down in the city.

I'm in Las Vegas now, but those houses you're showing are too much! Las Vegas is a rip-off and I can find something cheaper than that here. I graduated in Weatherford and will always love Weatherford.

Weatherford is becoming to crowded an high priced. Land and houses are to high. Just dirt and 2x4 stick frame cheaply built brick tents. Alot of good people are getting ripped off.

It just sucks that homes here cost that much. Apartments here can range from $2k to $200/mo(?) the higher figure comes from lone star apartments out towards Hudson oaks. Dubford is fun if your involved in something like sports or band

I like Weatherford because as you said it is close to Fort Worth I'm looking for about 10 acres to build on. Don't want to live in a town or the city.
