Great job on the double wins in this video. However, the thing with headaches at the table is real & forces me to end sessions earlier than I'd like because of that. It may have to do with the abundance of TV screens in the particular poker room I play at the most, but this happens every time to me, yet there are others who can play much longer with no headaches at all.
Another great Vlog Doug. I used my OMC image and betting to get a guy to fold a set of Kings, to my pocket Tens, on a AK9 rainbow flop, when I re-raised his flop bet. Said he put me on Aces. Showed the table his hand and mucked. Image can be a powerful tool.

Greetings from the UK, interesting playing a slightly higher stakes, the "Client" are still gamblers, its amazing to see the degens are allover the place, its hilarious to watch high stakes players simply punting and trying to get players off hands, i think the most important thing is to learn who the value is on the table, LA is full of bad players and mega gamblers!!
Very true Fraser, I have found a handful of skilled players at these levels and a bucket of the others. The 5-5 in LA seems to play very much like the 1-3 at Capitol. I feel very comfortable playing 😀

Don't like the AQ suited Jam at all. Just think most of the time only better calls and you are gambling. If he bet and you raise as a bluff sure just don't love the all in. But hey it worked.
Against a hand like jj or 10s he is a slight favourite plus he’s gonna get fold out of those hands sometimes as well as hands like ak. It’s a winning play
@@Mauricio-kf8qx but he's losing to 2 pairs or sets that take his outs board pairing. Don't think a jam is a winning play over a 3bet. Now if it's a raise and he 3 bets I agree.
@@dougmccuskerpoker I think your logic is good. Most pair hands are going to be under huge pressure, most calls will be draws, all of which are lesser. The few very strong hands that always call, like sets or 89, are ahead 65/35. If those are even 25% of your opponents (it's not that many), your aggression is a clear winner.

Hey Doug great video! Couple questions if you don’t me asking. How long did you stay? Where did you stay any tips for poker players just wanting to be near the action.
If you're going to visit L.A., almost anywhere you stay, you'll be a reasonable drive from two or three rooms with plenty of games. Focus on staying in nice neighborhoods, house rentals give you lots of flexibility. Each card room has its own charms and shortcomings, but they're all spreading good games these days.
@@michaelpatch6392 there are too many nice places to just make a list, and too many bad neighborhoods to be casual. It's a research project. Are you trying to be near the beach, the mountains, a certain ethnic enclave? If all you want is to visit our many casinos, maybe look in Bell Gardens. Lots of low risk suburbia and fairly central. I'd want to see more than that, if I were visiting, however. There's a lot to see and do here.
@dougmccuskerpoker I didn't see you coming to Hustler Casino because I usually play $8-&16 and $25-$50 Limit Holdem in evening after 6pm until midnight. Sometimes from 3pm to 9pm.
@@dougmccuskerpoker I don't play on weekends except Monday to Friday only. To spend some times away from poker. Gardens Casino is very close to my home (Santa Ana), it's only about 25 minutes from there.
