MOVING VLOG #3: productive day in my life, kitchen organization & cleaning! 

Yes I would love to see a week in your life as a true crime youtuber. How you take notes when you research cases would be interesting to watch.

Something good to do if you feel nervous with contractors is ask a friend or family member to call you a few times throughout, tell the person on the phone casually 'I have Bob the so and so man here, I'm busy' so they know someone else is aware of their presence, and that someone is waiting on you to get back to them.

Don't forget to stock up on headache tablets etc. You just never know when you're going to need them.

Your apartment is beautiful queen! I been living on my own since I was 17, another good tip too show ppl you aren't home alone is too record a male friend or relative talking and play it when someone you don't know is coming inside lol it sounds like someone is in the bedroom talking on a phone lol my dad done a tape for me when I moved out lol it is a great idea.

Turn on the shower when someone comes to service your apartment. They'll hear it and think someone is there with you, and if you have the men's boots/coat out for them to see they'll assume it's your husband.

A tip for living alone when a worker comes into your home is to call someone you trust if you can and put it on speaker and mute them then just put it in your back pocket so they dont know about it so that the person can hear you if your ok and send help if your not. This actually helped a friend of mine when a worker was being very creepy and obnoxious her sister ended the call and called her so that the call would startle the worker and she was able to get him out of the house without a confrontation. Hope that helps.

I took my boyfriends family cat in after they moved and he struggled for about the first month he lived with me. He wouldn’t even stay in the same room as me for the first few weeks. It just takes time! Now he is the happiest he’s ever been and he absolutely loves living with me. I’m sure it will just take some time with your girl too and she will be happy and content in her new home in no time!

My Granny would always put a penny in her cut flowers to keep them alive longer, it always worked! X

Looks like things are coming along really well & love the sweater! If you want to minimize lumps in dry goods, you can either add silicone packets or a satchel of rice in the bottom. I put rice straight into the bottom of my salt and pepper shakers cuz the rice is too big to come out of the holes.

You can use a product called Feliway, which is a diffuser that calms kitty. Also, there are calming collars that helps cats adjust. They really work! ❤️🐈‍⬛❤️

Awesome apartment! Congratulations! Unfortunately, the only tip I have is to consider freezing half of your loaves of bread. They'll start to mold/go stale long before you go through your patties otherwise. Also, Beyond Meat makes an AMAZING vegan patty and Morning Star makes my favorite vegetarian chicken patty. 😁 I love these updates and I hope you're doing well.

I got these little door alarms from the dollar store that make a loud noise if the door opens also I got my pepper spray, knife (I pray I never have to use) and a tiny wooden bat I leave in my bedroom

I wait every year for Halloween because that is when the first shaped Reese’s come out! Bat for Halloween, Xmas tree for Christmas, Heart for Valentines and last but not least the egg for Easter. Then sadly they are gone again until Halloween! I love these the best because I too like more peanut butter and less chocolate, it’s the perfect combination! Also I recently discovered that though I love the regular chocolate Reese’s, I’m obsessed with the white chocolate ones!

Hygge is a Danish word, and it means having a relaxing, cosy time with friends, loved ones or yourself. Staying in the moment and enjoying what’s good in life. :)

Try the feli way calming diffuser for cats! It releases natural calming cat pheromones that calms them. I use it for my cats when I move and for hurricane season! Plug it in a day or two before she gets back so it can spread throughout the apartment, should take a few days for her to feel calm. They also have a calming collar if she wears collars.

I am fascinated by american/Canadian washing machines! Like you have a whole room for your washing machine and dryers and the lid is on the top and they have a spinning thing inside! They just fascinate me😂 I hope K/Catniss comes around soon so you can have your little friend with you! Also thankyou for motivating me I've been led in bed all day eating pop tarts and watching gilmore girls🤦🏼‍♀️ lots of love Brooke!🌻💛🌞 Also if I know someone is coming around maintenance-wise then I put a TV on in another room and ask someone to ring (usually my mum) when I know they are going to be there and then answer if I feel uncomfortable😊😊

Maybe turn the tv on in your bedroom and close the door to your bedroom to make it seem like someone is watching tv in there, or turn the shower on you could also call someone and have them just on the phone so they can hear everything that's going on and leave your phone in your pocket or counter/ table

Awesome video as always, I’ve watched the whole series so far and a helpful tip besides the shoes is get a mans coat for the front entrance and when you have someone coming over leave the shower on and pretend to put out two plates full of snacks.

for your cat, katniss, try a calming collar for her! you can get them on amazon, target, pet stores, etc. they are natural, non harmful to the cat. they release pheromones that help calm the cat. i like the purple one best for my cat. my cat has a lot of anxiety and it helps so much but also, cats take 3-4to adjust to new spaces but ya gotta keep her there as hard as it may be :( + cbd treats, cbd oil can help too!

You are absolutely fabulous. What stores do you usually do your grocery shopping at? Do you ever stock up on water? Can you possibly do some in store grocery shopping videos? I think it would be awesome if you could show your full shopping trip

First thing that comes to mind is run the shower! Maybe even peek your head into the bathroom and “let your person know” that the people are there. I guess this won’t work if the worker will be at your house for a longer period of time.

Now at Christmas they have the trees and Valentine’s Day has the hearts.... same as the Reese’s eggs!!!

A good tip is on your way to the front door, shout out "no I got it babe!. Go ahead and finish up your emails". Then open front door, let the person in and then say" please excuse me for one sec". Run down to the bedroom that "babe" is in and softly but loud enough for you to be heard. Say," hey babe, I'm just gonna crack this so you can finish up" see you in a few".

If you're alone and someone is coming to fix or install something in your home, you can have someone there with you if that's possible, you can have a neighbor come over with you, or call someone and in general conversation with the person on the other end (within ear distance of the person in your home), say someone (say the persons name if you know it) from whatever company they work for is there doing something in your home. If the person did have any other motive, they may change their mind knowing someone else now knows they're there, what their name is and where they work. Also on the phone you can say your 'husband', 'boyfriend' or dad is on there way over so again, if the person was planning something, that may keep them from trying if they think they'll be interrupted by a man. You can get a quiet noise maker of sorts (sounds of moving around, coughs, talking, maybe a toilet flushing) and put it in a spare room to make it sound like someone else is there in the home with you even if there isn't. Have pepper spray or something to defend yourself, if God forbid. Have your phone with you. If you have an Alexa, you can always scream for her to dial 911. Get a really loud noise maker. You can get small ones that go on like a key ring and blast it in their ears. Living in an apartment building is good, too. Leave your door open so people can see when walking by. Plus, if you scream, someone will certainly hear you. Just a few things I've learned when living alone. Your apartment looks amazing, by the way! :)

I was so glad to see this vlog because I was so bored today. I’m glad you stay busy with your job it’s so good for you. I retired last January and I really miss being on a schedule and working. Also things you may need to get that you haven’t thought of. Hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, cut cream, glasses cleaner (if you wear glasses), DayQuil/NyQuil, drain cleaner/hair catcher, knife/protective item, tin foil, bathroom trash can, wax warmer!, ice cream scoop, windex, lightbulbs (if your landlord/complex doesn’t change them for you), shower organizer (if your shower doesn’t have enough selves), shoe organizer!, duster. That’s all I can think for now. Lol loving the blogs and congrats again! Getting your first apartment is always a scary and intimidating thing, but SO EXCITING at the same time!

I thought I'd be really paranoid working with contractors as someone living alone, but thankfully it has been good experiences so far. People have generally been professional, and they're usually pretty busy and have other jobs to get to so they're not super chatty. If I ever feel uncomfortable in general when people ask about living alone, I will say my (fake lol) boyfriend or my brother's staying with me or something like that. If it's obvious someone isn't living with you, you can be like yeah my brother's dropping by soon or he's headed out and will be back awhile later.

So happy you incorporate some vegan foods in your diet! Reducing the amount of animal products is always a beneficial way to go❤️ I really enjoy your vlogs, please keep it up💝
