I’m so glad you’ve shared this, it’s so important to show both sides of a chronic illness even when you’re doing something that’s making you so happy and is such a wonderful feeling! I’m glad you’re settling into your lovely new home together ☺️💖

Thank you so much lovely, so glad I shared it too! Chronic illness is always there and I wouldn't want other sufferers to watch my videos and be like 'wish I could do what she can do' as you only see a tiny % of each day and there are times where it's really overwhelming and just plain old frustrating. Like I said, hard to enjoy things fully when you feel so unwell sometimes! Thanks honey, we really do feel so settled, it feels like it was made for us :) x

So true! I felt absolutely terrible cancelling on Will's mum and dad as they were meant to be coming over on Tuesday eve, I was just not in a good way health-wise though and it was too much pressure to host when I couldn't even wipe the surfaces down, sometimes you just have to be like so sorry but give me me some time to rest and get settled and then we'll have the loveliest time 💗 which is exactly what happened! Aww thank you so much Dani, we really are loving it beyond words x

Aww thank you, didn't include it for sympathy, just think it's so important to show that not every day is like 'isn't life just perfect and lovely' haha, we all have our ups and downs! Doing so much better thanks, I think it was just expecting too much of myself/the experience and it got a bit overwhelming - we're so settled now and it just feels 'right' you know :) wishing you all the best too, thank you again! x

Oh it hurt me to see you cry Meg - although I can never understand your struggles dealing with a chronic illness, I take my hat off to you for persevering with the house move and wanting to do things yourself, even if it leaves you exhausted!! You are so blessed to have a loving supportive family who obviously mean the world to you, as you do to them! Looking forward to seeing even more home content from you! Your cottage reminds me of the one from The Holiday - I love that film so much!!

Ah thank you for the kind words Jenny, you're always so thoughtful! I often struggle with wanting to just be a 'regular adult' and do everything myself, but trying to do all of that when your health isn't good (and also attempting to film all of it and be present on camera, make a hopefully interesting video out of it also!) can just be a bit much. Extremely lucky to have such a great support system, they're all angels and help me so much :) looking forward to uploading more home content too, we've done quite a bit in terms of new furniture and making it our own etc so looking forward to sharing that with you! x

Thanks lovely, had just fully reached my limit for what I could manage and me being me, it obv came out in a big flood of tears 😂 me too, really am so fortunate to have such a great support system, Will came home so he could be there for the wifi installation and I could go to bed (but the guy came before he got home, typical haha!) and then Mum & Dad Says swept in and the place was spotless when they left, saved me so much energy and stress which was lovely! Thank you, I'm doing a lot better now, the Tuesday wobble was a low but the rest has all been such happy highs ❤️

I have chronic fatigue too and I find it so frustrating that I’m not able to do all the things I want to (or feel I should.) I can definitely relate to feeling overwhelmed!

Watching this while in the middle of an endo flare up, feeling completely exhausted. I've just had to cancel some plans and I was feeling really down. Thank you for showing me I'm not alone!!

Moving is one of the most stressful life events and having a chronic illness whilst moving must be so much harder. I hope it gets better when you start to settle in. xx

Thank you so much! I've just been replying to DMs and someone was saying they just watched this vlog and felt like they needed to message to say that they're 'healthy' and moving was the hardest thing they've done, made me feel a lot better as I think I put a lot of pressure on myself to do it ALL when actually nobody can do that, illness or not! We're all just trying our best :) it's so good now thanks, we feel totally settled and are really enjoying the process of adding bits and bobs to each room :) x

Thanks so much lovely Sheri, definitely more ups :) just had a major wobble on Tuesday afternoon as I felt sooo unwell and unable to clean and host etc, Will and my parents really helped though, from Thursday onwards I felt so much more on top of everything and settled. Thank you, so glad you like it, we're in love! x

My best advice as one who also suffers with chronic illness... is to get a cleaner if you can manage it in your budget. Weekly or even every other week, but most definitely when moving house!! (Bless your sweet heart! I can’t imagine! Moving was overwhelming before I had health issues!)💗 When dealing with limited energy levels and pain, you have to do a lot of planning and prioritizing just to accomplish normal, everyday tasks... and most often that’s a challenge because I always want to do more than I physically can. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Everyone with chronic illnesses have energy levels, pain thresholds and situations that are different, but I seriously couldn’t survive without help from my cleaner and lawn man... and wonderfully supportive family and friends! Do whatever works best for you, but I couldn’t recommend enough to hire help wherever you possibly can! 🥰🥰🥰

Can so relate to 'I always want to do more than I physically can' - I've been ill for years and still struggle to ask for help as I just want to do it myself, but the move definitely made me realise that there are certain life things that are just too big for you to do without back-up! Thought about having a cleaner but in all honesty I'm managing the cottage really well so far and I'm still health-wise getting over the move so that's speaking volumes - Will and I are doing a 'little and often' approach and it's meaning that it doesn't take a lot to stay on top of keeping it nice and clean. If we had a bigger place with multiple staircases and a garden etc I'd be feeling super overwhelmed but right now, all good :) so glad you've got such supportive friends and family too, honestly don't know what I would do without them, lifesavers! 💗

Hope you have help with the move and that you're able to take it as gently as possible, even 'healthy' people say moving is mega tiring and can really take it out of you so it's no wonder that we would struggle with it as spoonies. Oh bless you. Moving into a rental property should be like a fresh slate with everything spotless and squeeky clean. The landlord should have been on that and had it sorted for you. Xx

It wasn't a rental before us, hence why I kept saying 'previous owner' :) even so they shouldn't have left it how it was - weird thing was some things were absolutely spotless (like the bathroom and everything 'visible' for example) but the fridge and inside the cupboards, which we hadn't looked in before during viewings, were absolutely gross like they'd never been cleaned! And an upstairs carpet that looked previously brand new had been covered in bits of broken rattan garden furniture (presumably from the roof terrace being moved out) and all this yellow pollen had been trodden into it. Bit of a shock to the system to go upstairs for the first time and be like 'what have they done to it??' I've managed to get it looking new again with stain remover etc but yeah, previous owner didn't leave it how I would've done! x

U poor awl thing,let it all out,cry it out,look after yourself,it was a bit soon for visitors any way,few weeks before that,but Ur lucky to have good people around you,you will be fine, just take it as it comes,don't push yourself so much❤️🙏

Thanks lovely Rebecca, sometimes you just need a cry don't you! It was a bit soon, it was literally the day after we'd moved in, I think everyone is just excited to see the new place though - they came on Friday instead and I felt sooo much more relaxed and happy to show it then :) we've had so many visitors and dinners etc here now, it has been a very social cottage which has been nice, especially in this weather! A lot of that is coming in vlogs :) definitely so lucky, don't know what I'd do without everyone. Sending love, thank you for watching ❤️
