Mowing With My Reel Mower

Finally I'm doing some mowing with my reel mower (cylinder mower)!
So excited by how well this reel mower cuts and how tidy the finish is after I've mown the lawn with the reel. Look out for some sweet lawn stripes with this reel on my perennial ryegrass!
I use a rover 45 which is the same as a scott bonnar 45.

This is probably a silly question how often do you cut a putting green grass in winter and summer I've created a backyard putting green 15 x 12

I'm guessing you like the mower?I have the same mower and use it on my Queensland blue couch.Nothing compares to the finish of a reel mower.In my opinion there's mowers to cut the grass(Rotary mowers)and there's mowers to cut the lawn(cylinder mowers).Nothing worse than wheel ruts in a lawn from rotary mowers too.I slotted the frame on either end of mine where the height adjustment hardware is so I can cut as high as 45mm.Nice video and tips as always.

Thanks mate! If you want a nice clean cut definitely look into a reel mower. Healthier for your lawn. Plus less risk of scalping as well! Can get the lawn a lot lower with a reel mower

i stillhave one of the old morrison olympic 20 inch cut from the 60s still cuts well but be knife is buggered

Hey mate,how do you walk so slow with your reel mower?I nearly have to run with mine to keep up at full throttle for maximum reel speed.

Does the lawn have to be perfectly level to use the reel mower? I tried to use mine for the first time today and my mower would get stuck and some areas look scalped.
