I’ve tried the Forte, not La Prima, which is in a higher class and price range than the R12. However the R12 has excellent vibration effects, honestly some of the best I’ve felt from any wheel base.
Pretty well. I think this R12 is one of the best wheel bases in this strength range due to its really nice handling of vibrations. I haven't raced with the La Prima, but I have with the Forte. The Forte can reach much stronger forces, but they both have excellent handling of detail and weight.
so the high pole count will improve things like smoothness and some small detail shifts theoretically that is. something like the simagic alpha mini with 5 poles means it has a stronger peak force. but lacks holding torque. which is also why you can see the alpha mini peak at 13 and hold right above 10nm. more pole or less seem to have a trade off. both dont seem to have an inherent advantage over the other.
I just bought the R12, its on the way. Having second thoughts though, in regards to buying the fanatec dd1. I know they are in different price ranges, but is the FFB that different? I still have time to return the R12 :) What are your thoughts, since you reviewed both?
The DD1 is vastly more expensive and has much stronger ffb. Although it’s much older than the R12. The R12’s ffb is incredibly good and detailed and you won’t be disappointed I’m sure
@@SimRacingSetups thanks! Where I am the moza base+wheel combo is 970eur and fanatec 1300eur. So for 8 extra Nm the 330eur might be worth it :) but yeah already tried the R12 and it’s amazing compared to my previous T300 :)
