Want a Moza FSR wheel on your Fanatec/Simucube/VRS setup? If so, now you can. With a Universal Hub and Adaptor allowing the FSR to connect independently, Moza marks its first cross-compatible wheel, hopefully more models will be released with a data port. Works with PC only, as per the rest of Moza's bits and bobs. Fits anything with a 3x50mm or 6x70mm bolt pattern.

Besides the FSR wheel, you can add the Moza shifter, pedals and the Dash which is what I am buying, since I already have Fanatec everything. The dash is going to add some flashy lights to my setup. Great video!

@dannyleeracing
@dannyleeracing 6 месяцев назад
It won't work for PS5 unfortunately - you'll need to stay on the Fanatec ecosystem, meaning Fanatec wheels that show compatibility with PS on the site. Consoles just don't really accomodate mixed-and-matched hardware, Moza has no console compatible stuff at the moment.

Do u need to use the podium hub? or can i have a normal qr1 for it to work?
@dannyleeracing
@dannyleeracing Год назад
Unfortunately you need either the Podium Hub, Universal Hub or CSL Hub for it to work as they include the onboard electronics required to make the system complete. There are some Fanatec emulator QR's out there that can also do the job like the Sim Racing Machines adapter. The QR1 alone won't do it as you need those electronics to make the Fanatec system work.

With that setup it's exaggerated a problem I already have just within the fanatec eco system. Currently have the Clubsport V2.5 wheel and Podium Porsche wheel but the Podium wheel sticks out further than the clubsport and so is a bit too close to be comfortable. Any solutions to this that isn't unbolt and adjust the rig every time I swap? I guess the only option is find the happy median but still looking for a solution
@dannyleeracing
@dannyleeracing Год назад
It's definitely an issue for sure, and certainly in this case you're talking an extra inch or two on the column length. The only solution that would work is if your seat and pedal deck were both on sliders, meaning your seating position moved, rather than the wheelbase - if you're a serial wheel hopper then that could be the path of least resistance.
@azamat19
@azamat19 Год назад
Problem is that u cant change the qr of the moza wich is completely stupid. I use the srm Fanatec emulator which is an inch shorter than the podium hub. My ascher racing rim with srm adapter is exactly the same distance to the wheelbase as any other Fanatec rim. Though what i ended up doing was selling all fanatec rims, and using a turn racing qr (only 3.5 cm long) on the srm adapter. With a spacer for the rims that need one i have them all at the same length. Though the moza fsr is extremely long now which makes it useless in my opinion. Moza had a good idea here, but without the possibility of changing the qr ita useless. I just got an idea. A very good one: Instead of turn racing qr, put the moza adapter on the podium hub. Use a nrg style qr on ur other rims. Of course fanatec won't work anymore. But with the moza fsr you would just need another maybe round or dshape 12-13inch rim with a button box (simline polsimer, src all arw pretty goos value for money). But then you would have a really good open system.

I am disabled and cant use pedals fully, so on my fanatec wheel i use the 2 paddle clutches as my accelerator and brake. Does anyone know if you can do that with a moza wheel ?
@dannyleeracing
@dannyleeracing Год назад
You can, but unless they've changed the way they work, they're not accurate or smooth enough for the fine control you'll need - fanatec's dual clutch paddles are far smoother as they use different sensors I believe - Moza's can be 'grainy' through the travel range which isn't a big problem if you're doing launches, but will be a problem for your requirements - stick with Fanatec

It's too bad you have to attach the moza QR to the moza 6x60 adapter. That's way too much length added to reasonably use with a Fanatec Podium hub or even a sim racing machines emulator.
@jrmyquartararo90
@jrmyquartararo90 Год назад
you could just remove the moza quick release and bolt it directly to the podium hub, the new moza qr is 6x50mm thread pattern so you coult remove the qr,and bolt the podium hub directly to the plate the moza qr mounts to, hence reducing out the length and not have to run 2 qr systems and it’ll save you about 600grams, less weight=more ffb:)

@@dannyleeracing Damn that's such a shame, I currently have a G923 for my Xbox and was looking at something with more feedback and direct drive that would give me several wheel options. So I thought the best option would be the CSL DD but I'm not impressed with the looks of the Fanatec wheels, I want something with a screen that looks flashy and preferably an F1 type wheel. Use is for casual gaming every now and again so the look of the wheel with screen is important to me but it's unfortunate that these things are mostly for PC users. I know Thrustmaster make the Ferrari wheel which I love the look of but the base is a servo one and I really dislike the way the wheel connects to the base. While I don't really see the point of it for their current wheels this is a good thing. Because. If your are using a moza base + wheel, maybe have multiple rims etc and that base dies, moza changes mounting and you buy another brand or you feel like "brand Y" has a rediculusly good new revolutionaly technoligy and you don't want to buy that and wheels. It is good to be able to use your existing wheels. It gives life and a feel of continued support for the wheels. Or maybe you are on a budget and se a used moza wheel and for 40-50bucks you can use it with your existing wheel base. This is only a good thing. Buying brand new moza wheel to use with fanatec is not really its point, maybe in the future if they make a really good one. But it may place moza in a good position when they allow their wheels on other platform and vice versa and gain support that way. But at the same time have a good mounting with integrated electornics connections. Asetek seem to try the same but to instead be more open with the QR to facilitate adoption into their base QR. As long as a wheel is easy to use elsewhere I feel it is good for us simracers to not be locke into a ecosystem.
