MOZA Wheelbase Setting Guide for ACC 

Ty for the informative video! However, it might be a outdated in the way how ACC works, idk. I run the Moza R12 wheelbase, and i found out after a few hours of messing around that the CORRECT way to set the raw force of the FFB while keeping detail AND not reaching clipping ingame is to set the wheelbase force settings to 100% in both maximun output and game ffb force. Then use the ingame Gain slider to adjust your final feeling in the wheel, this made me reach much much better results and avoid clipping. In the end i ended up with about 65-70% ingame FFB GAIN to get the feeling i wanted, preserve detail, no clipping and still waaay more force than i could reach with 90% ingame GAIN setting and then messing around with the moza pit house FFB strenght settings. Current version of ACC that im doing this on is V. 1.9.8

You don't know just how timely this is for me, my MOZA R9 and FSB just arrived last week, and as soon as I have time to reconfigure my cockpit, ACC is my 1st Drive. I just installed it recently and have been burning laps with my G920 as a send off before I upgrade, and to Feed that Need for some wheel time before I go into engineering mode.

New to sim racing with a wheel. So I just got my first wheel. The R5. Anyways, thank you for showing us and me to understand what we are changing and what it does. This is making my experience a lot better. Love the channel.

I've tried these settings now and have to say I really dont like them, even with a lower FFB the car feels too much on rails, almost like there is an assist in your wheel while turning. at the chicanes its such a slow response to get the car turning from one side to the other the car has always too much strenght like a bus, its much easier to balance the car but feels too much like the car is driving you instead of the other way around. Id say to lower the natural inertia to 0 and in advanced settings lower wheel friction and speed dependent damping all to 0 as well

Cheers Will. Slight tweak with the R5, as the FF maxes out a lot on Nurburgring especially. I've had to turn the in-game gain down to 67% from your recommended 90%. Only then do I stay just within the constant clipping range.

Great video, thanks for the time you put in to explain these settings. I noticed that the display on the steering wheel is acting weird and has lag, did you try to talk with moza and see what they have to say about this? I have the same issue and i've been fighting for almost 2 months to find a solution and i think i may find it but i'm still testing it. Moza customer support was no help and they just stop replying the emails.

Great explanation of the functions of the Pithouse software. Now I can use them for dialing in the rF2 settings. They say the FFB is great, but I haven't felt it yet.

Just received my R5 today and coming from the T300 by thrustmaster and all I have to say is wow! I previously had the DD1 and sold it. It was just too much FBB that wasn't being used. I was undecided on this wheel or the Fanatec DD, but decided on this one due to the pricing of the Eco System. The upgrades are just priced better. I'm not using the pedals yet because i'm waiting to get the brake mod which sadly was out of stock. ( If you'd like to send me one Moza that be nice!! hint hint ) I'm using my Thrustmaster TLCM pedals. Back to the wheel. I'm running the ES and its mounted to the TrakRacer T80 and mounts just fine! The connection of the wheel is amazing so much smoother than fanatec and I had the quick release. This one is far better easy on and easy off. Regarding this video, I've been following boosted for quite some time and his videos are great and this one is no exception. The default settings are ok but using his and this wheel comes to life. Anyone who tells you that you won't see a difference going from T300 to R5 is wrong. I ran 90 percent FBB on my T300 and never felt good enough or strong enough. You feel everything with this wheel and the sense of imersion is fantastic. Moza you have a great product packaged great and for the money you can't beat it! I ordered my wheel through your distributor Advanced Sim Racing 2 days ago. I'm in the U.S and they are in Canada. My wheel got here today with free shipping I mean wow just overall happy with this purchase and the company so far.

Another great video, particularly for very lazy people like me! I have the R9 and GS along with the SRP pedals. I feel like I am not getting the most out of the brakes as the pedal has so much travel. Do you know if Moza do any upgrade kits to help with this or is it a DIY fix in your opinion? I'm doing average lap times but it feel like a real life car where the brakes need bleeding!

I can`t drive these settings with my R9, my wheel is so hard and in clips like hell. On curbs it nearly breaks my base from the RIG. And at the end your driving easily with one hand. What is different to my setup, then I use exactly the same settings?

Is there a reason you set wheel rotation to 540? Everywhere else says to use 900 or set it to the cars actual wheel rotation

Thanks for making those tutorials ! For a beginner like me, this is very useful because I don’t know what I should feel initially (even though yes, I get the point of personalizing it to our liking). Though I have a problem about « clipping » : I don’t understand how to know when it is present. Is it a feeling or a number indicated somewhere? For ex, in F1 22 with R5, I have some weird feelings sometimes and I don’t know if it could clipping.

just got my R5 bundle I use it on iracing mostly dirt racing. Coming from using a logitech G923 this thing makes that feel like a toy. Highly recomend getting the R5 bundle if you use the logitechs. And at 600 bucks you cant beat it.........yet

Hi, thank you for your tips on setting up the Moza wheel base, I have thr Moza R5 and am using it with the hub , unfortunately after I have renewed my PC , with the said settings am not getting any force feedback of any sort, not sure why although I used all the settings stated. You/you are clearly communicating with Moza Racing, how is it possible that Moza Racing do not understand simple questions in English? I have asked a very simple question three different ways with no luck, they answer something completely different from what I am asking. Have you had the same problem? And how did you solve it? Thanks for the video. I just received my R9 v2 base with ES wheel but it's oscilating like crazy. Even with lower FFB settings and dampening increased. Any ideas? Thanks

Brand new to DD froma Logitech G27. I bought the R5 bundle and WOW what a difference, however I have a problem. The wheel oscillates at low speed, how do I get id of that?

How does this work with the steering lock for seperate cars? Does ACC adjust depending what car you drive or do you have to adjust it manually?

On acc, I can't get it to register my paddles on the back as gear up and down but I don't know why

"clipping" refers to a situation where the input from the racing wheel exceeds the maximum range or capacity of the simulator or game. Clipping typically occurs when the racing wheel's force feedback strength or steering rotation settings are set too high, causing the simulator or game to truncate or "clip" the output beyond its limits. As a result, the simulator or game cannot accurately reproduce the full range of forces or steering effects that the wheel is capable of producing. When clipping occurs, you may experience a loss of detail and subtlety in the force feedback effects. For example, you might not feel the nuances of tire grip or surface texture, or the effects of weight transfer during cornering may not be properly conveyed. Similarly, in terms of steering, the wheel may feel less precise, and small adjustments or inputs may not be accurately translated. I am setting up my Moza R5 with Assetto Competizio and having big problems. I can see the wheel fine through Pit House, but the Assetto game does not recognise the wheel. Steam shows the Moza wheel as a controller but none of the button settings are there. I have tried Moza support, but no luck. Please help me Will

How come I get clipping at 70% gain in game and here u reccoment 90%??

Hi, I used your settings and my R9 is oscillating a lot. Changing the dumping settings either in Pit House or in the game does not help. Regardless if car speed is low or high, the wheel keeps vibrating and it puts it into aggressive oscillation if I take my hands of the wheel. It's tha same in both AMS2 and ACC. Is this normal?

for ACC go 900 max steering angle then it matches correctly.

1h and the ffb is reduced (overheat on R12). Moza, finally come up with a good cooling for your products. Especially improve the crappy customer service.

My r16 dont see steer wheel in game

If you are clipping the FF in the sim, which specific setting would you reduce? The in-game FF setting, or one within the wheel software?

My r12 is max out clip in ACC... Pithouse FFB is 100% and in ACC is 70%! maybe someone has a idea. Firmware is the newest, i reset the Base and calibrate, i try all these things but in every corner is max out clipping...

Is this setup still actuall? because i did everything as you say in video and base is consta clipping with this setup, especially in corners and long corners (like blanchimont, bruxelles, puyhon in spa and similar) i even have a gain on 80% in game. Thanks!

Not even 2 minutes into the video and the information is already wrong. Specifically in ACC you should use 900 degrees of steering rotation and set that to match in game. The game will then soft lock the rotation to whatever car you are driving as many of the cars in ACC use different steering rotations. If you use 540 like is suggested in this video and then use a car like the Aston Martin V8 then you physical wheel will not match up with the wheel in game. This advice also completely ignores an amazing feature of the Moza pithouse software. If you go to your wheel base settings under the basic tab you will once again find the maximum steering rotation setting. Under this setting you'll see a toggle for "Synchronous". Turn this off. Take the bottom slider and leave it at 900. That slider communicates with ACC and as I said before it will sync with the game so you can drive whatever car you want without having to change the steering angle in pithouse and ACC. Then take the top slider and move it to whatever you want. 360, 420, 540, or 1080 it doesn't matter. That will part a hard lock on your wheel and set where the bumpstop will kick in. So you get the best of both worlds you wheel matches up to the wheel in game and you don't have to worry about all that extra wheel rotation.

im clipping so much with the moza r5 no matter what settings i use man unless i drop it down to like 65 percent but then at that low percent playing feels like shit

im running the same settings with the same wheelbase but i'm clipping running over kerbs

I will add to this that, this setup is for a GT car, road cars to me at least make a lot more sense at 900 degrees

May i ask, I use 360 for Formula, 540 for GT and 900-1080 for rally, on rotation in pithouse. Is this correct, or am i totally missing the point?

If my car just crash and then wheel starts just roll left and right it can damage small childrens hands how to reduce that? which setting is responsible

I tried Moza R5 with BeamNG and I don't like it because the steering artificially stiffens up when taking a corner, so I cannot make fine adjustments (the steering is simply too heavy). Also when the rear-end of the car slides I cannot catch it because the steering instead of getting lighter, gets heavy again (I assume it should be the opposite because I am losing traction). TBH I don't know if this is the wheel's fault, or the sim's fault, but I am returning my R5 gear, unless somebody helps me.

I need help, I just received the R12 but if it's connected to my pc game from steam aren't running anybody knows why?....if I disconnect it from pc runs perfectly.

Why would you use 540 steering ratio? It depends on the car - only the 912 cup car used 540 steering ratio. Or is it just the moza software that is broken?

900 degrees should be the steering rotation used in ACC to make every car match correctly not 540.

R9 even at 80%, it gets really exhausting after just a few laps, for me at least

I found all these adjustments useless for getting maximum control and laptime. I dont know what to do to be my fastest with this wheel yet.

Why do all these sims feel so understeery and like the car has no grip? I am just getting into sim racing and I swear if given the chance I'd do better laps around a circuit irl. The first one I tried was Automobilista, and tbh the grip feels much worse than in ACC, if you want to go around turns properly if feels so slow it's ridiculous! 😑😑😑😑😑

lol these settings are horrendous - my wheel is al over the place with these settings - This really does not justify the great wheelbase that this is.
