21 year old Soprano Sierra Marcy with the Rhode Island Civic Orchestra and Chorale. March 14, 2015 performing Mozart K339 Vesperae Solennes de Confessore. This is movement No.5, "Laudate Dominum" the Soprano solo movement, with chorus.
Laudate Dominum omnes gentes Laudate eum, omnes populi Quoniam confirmata est Super nos misericordia eius Et veritas, veritas Domini manet, manet in aeternum Gloria Patri et Filio Et Spiritui Sancto Sicut erat in principio Et nunc, et semper Et in saecula saeculorum Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen
Just the right tempo - in my opinion. Beautiful performance of another miraculous masterpiece from Master Maestro Mozart-for which I am eternally thankful.
What a beautiful performance... there are so many pieces of music by Mozart which move me to tears - it feels like something very special and ethereal is resonating within me every time I hear them... He truly was the purist form of creative genius the music world has ever known!!
@@ste6501 What do you want to say by this? I do not know this sign or symbol. What I do know is that Mozart jumped to his feet when he was listening to a Motette of Johann Sebastian Bach given by choir of the Thomas church in Leipzig (where Bach had been cantor in his time) and cried out: "What's THIS ?! There at last is something to learn from!" And from that point on, Mozart composed much deeper and riper music. Much more polyphonic ones. Much more like the music THE genius Johann Sebastian Bach had composed! Just listen to Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor! Great indeed! But in comparison to Bach's Mass in H-Minor - hmm, well ...
Sung with so much of feeling and depth, delicately enunciating the syllables, this is certainly one of the best renditions I'm fortunate to hear. Thank you, M'am!
Em minha humilde opinião foi a melhor interpretação. Estava procurando Laudate Dominum como referência a fim de preparar-me e encontrei Sierra Marcy para meu deleite. Parabéns! Magnífica!
Gorgeous young voice. Keep singing with this same level of natural ease and beauty, and you will sing through the soprano repertoire in world class venues, with a very long career. BRAVA!
This is a stunning, heart-felt and grace-filled performance by Sierra Marcy. The words of the hymn obviously have a deep, personal meaning to her and she conveyed that meaning with tender, agape love. Grazie Sierra Marcy!
Sierra, this is the best performance of Laudate Dominum I have ever heard. Absolutely divine! Simply can`t listen without tears: such depth and purity in your voice and you truly sing with your soul!
Laudate Dominum for Mozart! This is a lovely performance of this wonderful masterpiece. It is very gentle (in a good way) in its approach and execution. For my taste, I would prefer it just a little faster. However, Miss Marcy has a very beautiful instrument, I adore her compact vibrato which is ideally suited to this piece; the sound is well focused and warm in tone. The orchestra and choir added greatly to the success of this performance. Very enjoyable and straight on to my favourites list.
Un air comme il doit être interprété : sincèrement, véritablement, humblement, sans esprit de briller et toute sa beauté est ainsi comprise par tous les amoureux de l'art lyrique religieux, que l'on soit ou non (comme moi) croyant.
I did this young lady a disservice because I forgot I'd just used 1.75 playback for a rather drawn out video and had failed to set it back to normal. That restored I have to say that the tempo was just slightly slow for me, but the voice crystal clear and much better a tad slow than at one and three quarters fast. So sorry for that, Sierra, but your rendition is absolutely lovely.
Beautiful voice of the truly beautiful and ethereal Mozart composition. There was no greater genius than Mozart who wrote the most sublime melodies and harmonies. Thank you Mozart! Your majestic and awe inspiring music will touch people for ever.

Wonderful performance. Kudos to all involved, chorus, orchestra soloist and person who recorded this. Though I wish you had better equipment. Anyone else think she sounds like Callas? I almost think it intentional on her part. Good idea IMHO
