For all bands and singers that i listen to; forgive me, but this is the best kind of music there is. With no doubt its the amalgament of human effort and creativity, all music played today was born from classic music, with Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, and this requiem from Mozart being the first true music ever played. Everey human being born with the gift of hearing must listen to this at least once in their lives.

An out of this world performance. This piece of music has always been sacred to me. For over 40 years. So many thoughts have always flied through my mind when listening to it. You can see in the faces of the performers that this is life and death music. It is not entertainment, it's so ripe of meaning it's almost scary. Today, during the corona hardship this brings a special meaning to me. On a daily basis I think of all those people who have died during this pandemic, and I am still alive. Many of them have payed with their lives for our freedom. For my freedom. In particular in Sweden who didnt have any lock down. I feel like the guilty one and have an obligation to do better. Mozarts Requiem is one of very few things that can express what I feel, and as the lyrics says, let all light be on them and may they rest in peace.

Duch we mnie powstawa i rośnie, a pierś moja oddycha ... Widzę wielką i świetlaną przyszłość Maestro Bartosza Michałowskiego! KAŻDEMU wykonawcy osobno i WSZYSTKIM pospołu, składam najwyższe wyrazy wdzięczności i uznania za absolutnie niebiańskie wykonanie Requiem. Chapeau bas!

Not many people want to accept this Truth, but this type of culture and music are the fruits of a Judeo-Christian Civilization. After all, this piece was written for a Requiem Catholic Mass. Of course now Western Civilization is drifting away from their religious foundations.

@@mohammedmgarta269 I never said music began in Europe. But the works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and many others, the rest of the world had not even come close to this advanced style of music. It is the fruits of western Christian civilization. That’s also not to say that music in other places in the world was bad or inferior, but the use of orchestra, choirs, complex music compositions and notations, and a more developed academic curriculum of music theory, is not seen elsewhere in the world at that time. That’s a fact
