Here's a playlist of all of Mozart's Requiem: • Mozart's Requiem - all...
I've created an easier to view list of all my bass parts here : basshymn.blogsp...
Here's the bass part for 'Kyrie' from Mozart's Requiem. I'm not very good at latin, so apologies for any wrong pronunciation. Also, this one was particularly hard to sing alone. Hopefully it will still be helpful to someone!
This is part of a resource for church choirs of all the bass parts to everything ever!
Please contact me if you've seen this and I don't know you personally, as it would be interesting to know if anyone has used this.

I got it from my local library, but if you type "imslp Mozart requiem" into google then the top link has a few legal public domain vocal scores to choose from.

Pretty sure ... but there are a few different editions of this piece. I'm pretty sure this one is the same in all of them though!

thank you for demonstrating so well the light approach to the rapid 16th note -eh-eh-eh vocalization. I was doing it too heavily making it too ponderous. Who do you sing with? Very useful video thanks!

Very kind ... I’m far from knowledgeable about these things I’m afraid, hopefully I’m not too misleading with some things and people are following their directors advice rather than my videos! I am the director for a church choir in south manchester ... but I work as a rehearsal pianist for ballet.

@@basshymn do you record your own piano parts for these pieces? I was wondering where they came from.
@basshymn
@basshymn 5 лет назад
Yes - I just record them into my digital piano and sing along to the playback.

That's not latin though, it's greek. "Κύριε ελέησον, Χριστέ ελέησον" means "Lord, have mercy on us, Christ have mercy on us".

Where is the background accompaniment in this video from? Transcriptions of this movement seem to be rare...

Thanks for this! I learned the four parts to this Kyrie on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele, and this vid was the perfect speed for learning the bass part on guitar. If you wanna see the completed Kyrie, it's over here. Thanks again! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GbADsVXhjIo.html

+Michael Lanier no problem, sounds good! What made you choose this piece?
@banjoboy888
@banjoboy888 8 лет назад
I was studying it at school since it's a double fugue, and I really liked the sound of it, so I decided I'd take a crack at it.

+Michael Lanier great, sounds good anyway - sort of sounds like an old Renaissance lute thing to me!
