Wow, so I discovered this band called Full Cord last fall... Checked out the Cambium CD jacket today, and did a little double take. Fantastic work there, too!
Thanks for your feedback. I saw a gentleman playing banjo yesterday, looked like he had a metal thumb pick. So I ask him. He said it was a blue chip. Interesting it was metal around the thumb ,but maybe tortuous shell attached as a pick. He said they cost about $40 each. I loose to many for that. I’ve watched your lessons for a while now and they are very good. I’ve been playing banjo over 50 years now all over the country. 31 years ago I came down with acute task specific musician dystonia, played to long to many years to fast put up hot picked up cold. There is no cure at this time but the treatment is Botox ejections, very expensive. So what you see is what you get. I did want to touch bass with you and ask have you ever heard of Randal Morton from Memphis . He is the top of the line ever on banjo his twin brother is is the same on guitar. He traveled all over the country as a a young musician doing contest with his twin brother an Mark O’Conner on fiddle. They won ever contest including the national championship in Winfield,ks. They have played all over the world from uso tours to a long stent with Don Hoe in Hawaii, including every one from Nashville. I learned from him in ‘73 . If you have a chance check him out, he’s the absolute best and his twin brother too. If you make contact with him tell him I turned you on to him have a great day, Jeep p.s. ask him to play" no matter how fast a fish swims he never sweats". Sense I now can only play down strokes with my thumb I really enjoy your lessons, so now I play 3 finger style with just my thumb.
