FOR YOU. Take three years Take these tears Blow it out of proportion Like you never (Lived a single day without regret) Like you never (Lived without my voices in your head) Three states and eighty shows later it's over But it's okay cause Right here is Where I belong True friends stab in the front What's said is said What's done is done Your eyes crushed in My fingers is The only way you'll see You taught me nothing I Didn't already know Was it fun riding on my shoulders? Now you'd kill Now you'd sin To rip open my skin and live a day in my shoes You've got nothing left to lose You fooled me once shame on you You fooled me twice shame on me You fooled me three times and Death will come on broken wings tonight Right here is where I belong You taught me nothing I Didn't already know Was it fun riding on my shoulders? Now you'd kill Now you'd sin To rip open my skin and live a day in my shoes You've got nothing left to lose
yep i'm on soulseek at 2am downloading obscure pop-screamo from my middle school days. 2020 has gone too far. fuck it, let's all quit taking our ssri's and recover our myspace passwords
I realize the age on this comment. But theres probably a few reasons. I remember dgd posting them in a bulletin on myspace back in the day, shortly after Lower Definition did the same for Dgd and got them a decent amount of people listening. It also probably has a whole lot to do with the fact that dgd had this type of sound when they first came out.
Band Members split from Farewell Unknown to Dance Gavin Dance and Mozart Season around mid 2000s after Jonny Craig got kick out of Ghost Runner On Third because of Drug Abuse. Joel was the frontman of FU and left due to Jonny. This song is one of the first few songs Mozart Season made after picking up Joel and is a Reply to DGD’s Robot With Human Hair Part 1 as you listen Jonny took the band and named it DGD while MS used Ghost Runner On Third’s rifts from the song Recognize The Fall off the album Speak Your Dreams to shit talk back. That is why this song, Midnight Train to Bellevue start off similar to Recognize The Fall. The Demo Version of this song starts off originally “F*%# YOU!” instead of “For You”. And Joel sings “Take three years, Take these tears” as a Reply to Robot With Human Hair Part 1 “Your eyes are bleeding”. Jonny also copied lyrics from FU’s The Bedside Romantic Lyrics Joel Wrote “This hits too close to home for me-“ as Jonny used this same lyric on DGD’s Importance of Cocaine off the WISIRO EP. This gave Joel reasons to write Midnight Train.
one of the guys in this band was in a band with members of dance gavin dance members until they left leaving him behind so he wrote this, this song was originally called gavin aint dancin, and it opened with fuck you not for you. dgd then responded with robot with human hair 1 where it says "and now you're so ashamed" cuz dgd are going further than he ever will
