Timothy Ridout so obviously enjoys playing this - and to perfection! He is constantly connecting with conductor, violinist and players, as well as audience. Bravo!!
What a fantastic Viola player! Uncredible! The sound of the Viola, so beautiful! Lionel Tertis, William Primrose and now Timothy Ridout! Great Britisch viola tradition! Congratulations from Germany!
The Viola is the STAR ATTRACTION in this excellent performance. This is one of the very best performances of this work. The sound of that viola, for me, was the very best interpretation. In some parts the timing was a little off with the rest orchestra otherwise; however, an excellent performance.
This is excellent. I always feel that Mozart’s joke was to write a piece where the Viola part trumps the Violin part, so many of the comments you see on RU-vid videos are compliments to the Viola player! Well played all round!
Who could possibly not enjoy playing this but Tim Ridout's totally engrossed enjoyment in it is as much pleasure to watch as to hear. A wonderful lively performance all round and especially welcome on RU-vid.
Rarely see performers enjoying themselves so much. I love this performance and the venue! That includes the soloists, the orchestra, and the conductor. Mozart at his least cynical.
I am not one who loves a lot of movement when musicians play. This, however, was done with such power. To be in this room must have been something else. Well done. Mozart was absolutely incredible. I can’t believe this came out of his head in a dimly lit room with a quill.
KV 364, not KV 365... KV 365 is Concerto No. 10 for 2 Pianos and Orchestra in E-flat Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Wonderful performance of two very gifted and so young artists! Congratulations! Bravissimo!
A beautiful performance, with splendid violin and viola and fine orchestral playing. Some judicious editing is suggested, to take out some of the conductor's more exaggerated gestures which are distracting, and focus on the interaction of the excellent soloists and the orchestra.
