I'm not sure if it's better than his Requiem because of all the mystic behind it... I don't know; he was literally writing himself his own funeral when writing the Requiem... I believe that is the most intimate music ever written. This one is pretty beautiful too, but I'd compare it to the Great Mass (k427) ... The Requiem for me is out of its league... Raphaël Pichon is one of the best-known and respected directors of historical music performance in France. He's young and has a lot of hair, but he's the actual founder of the choir and instrumental ensemble so I suspect he's included in the price ;)
