I don't know anything about music, I can consider myself a real caveman in that sense. But Mr. Zander is able to drag you in his world and spend hours listening to his passion. I wish I was able to meet him and let the energy flow through my body. He's inspiring, he truly is.
It's true. After watching schlomo mintz give an absolutely abhorrent masterclass, it's reassuring to see such kindness and positivity in an instructor.
I feel a lot of mozart's music is full of such a pure unblemished joy , a childlike happiness to truly play these peices you must feel that joy pouring out of you. You can feel it just listening to the music let alone being the vessel for it.
This guy is such a character! Wish I could have a master class with him! Also, I know this piece very well having played it since I was 15. This piece may seem easy note per note, but believe me, it's the playing the notes clean and with good articulation and lots of lush vibrato that makes it so difficult! All while going 140 bpm! And under pressure! I for sure noticed a huge difference in the violinist's performance when the master class teacher was goofing around a bit as she played. I will for sure remember this guy the next time I perform live! Thanks.
I agree. Growing up learning the violin was such a pain on my neck, shoulders etc. And then you're asked to play in tune and there is nothing there to guide your fingers to the right spot on the fingerboard.
I love how his excitement always has him out of breath. If only more leaders in work places and government and anywhere could bring this energy and knowledge.
The tender version of the slow movement was soooo touching. I really appreciated this masterclass. The teaching on exuberant playing was a tremendous blessing to me also. Am studying another early Mozart violin concerto and will apply everything. Huge thank you to this channel and Mr Zander. G Ire (adult student).
actually some of her notes were slightly out of tune when she first started off. listen carefully. but when zander got in, she played them all perfectly in tune with great springful style and human spirit.
She knows Wolfgang well enough. But does not project enough especially because a lack of bow use. There is so much to say about her frasing as well, the thrill ??? So important ? Nice words of Benjamin and some members of the public, but the violinist is NOT in need of therapy. Got lost as a scolarship student and obviously looking disappointed. Look, at her in the second movement. Just a waste of time for her, she can really play beautifully.
