Mozzarella Meatballs
These are super easy cheese stuffed meatballs that anyone can make.
Although we prefer to make our own ground beef, today we sourced the finest packaged ground beef that we could find. It is
from a certified organic farm, grass fed beef.
Our meatball recipe:
Ingredients:
2 lb- ground beef
1 tsp- garlic powder
1 tsp- onion powder
1 tsp- kosher salt
1 tsp- black pepper
1 ea- cracked egg
1/3 cup- Italian style breadcrumbs
dash- cayenne pepper
Mix with hands to form a large ball. We made 12 meatballs out of the mixture, but you can weigh for a more preferred size.
We stuffed our meat balls with fresh mozzarella cheese and rolled to ensure the cheese would not ooze out during cooking.
Brown over medium heat on all sides.
Cover with parmesan cheese and broil to melt the cheese.
Our simple 5 ingredient sauce
20 oz- San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes
1/2 cup- fresh basil
1 tsp- sugar
1 tsp- kosher salt
1 tsp- garlic powder
Mix in a food processor to blend smooth.
Simmer on cooktop for 1 hour.
